The study concludes that investing in this interdisciplinary profession is paramount for Iran's economic resilience and technological independence.

The 21st-century industrial landscape is defined by convergence. It is no longer sufficient to possess expertise solely in mechanics, electronics, or computer science; rather, the synthesis of these disciplines constitutes the field of Mechatronics Engineering. For a developing industrial power like Iran, and specifically within its bustling capital city of Tehran, the integration of these technologies is not merely an academic interest but an economic necessity. Tehran stands as the heart of Iran's industrial engine, hosting a dense concentration of manufacturing hubs, research centers, and service industries. However, this growth comes with challenges related to resource efficiency maintenance requirements for aging infrastructure.

This paper argues that the Mechatronics Engineer is the pivotal agent in overcoming these hurdles.
