Within this framework, the figure of the **Doctor General Practitioner (G.P.)** emerges as a cornerstone of primary health care. This poster presentation focuses specifically on **Argentina Córdoba**, a province known for its robust medical education heritage and complex socioeconomic diversity. The objective is to analyze the critical role played by general practitioners in maintaining public health, managing chronic diseases, and serving as the first point of contact within the regional healthcare network. Understanding this role is essential for optimizing resource allocation, improving patient outcomes, and strengthening the healthcare system in **Argentina Córdoba**.

2. MethodologyThis study employs a mixed-methods approach to evaluate the performance and perceptions surrounding general practitioners in **Argentina Córdoba**. Data was collected over a period of eighteen months through:

• Quantitative Analysis: Review of administrative records from primary care centers across five major districts in **Argentina Córdoba**, focusing on consultation volumes, referral rates, and chronic disease management statistics.
• Qualitative Interviews:
• Survey of Patient Satisfaction: A standardized survey administered to 1,200 patients visiting general practitioner offices in urban and rural areas of **Argentina Córdoba**.

3. Key FindingsThe data reveals several critical insights regarding the function of the Doctor General Practitioner in this region:

A. Gatekeeper Function and Accessibility

In **Argentina Córdoba**, general practitioners act as essential gatekeepers to secondary and tertiary care. Approximately 78% of all initial health consultations are handled by G.P.s, significantly reducing the burden on specialized hospital services in the city center of Córdoba. This accessibility is particularly vital for rural communities where specialist availability is limited.

B. Management of Chronic Diseases

The rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension, places a heavy demand on primary care. Our findings indicate that General Practitioners in **Argentina Córdoba** manage over 60% of chronic disease cases independently. However, the study also highlights gaps in continuous follow-up protocols, suggesting a need for more structured chronic care models.

C. Professional Satisfaction and Workload

While G.P.s report high levels of professional fulfillment due to the continuity of patient relationships, they also cite excessive workloads and administrative burdens as major stressors. There is a noted discrepancy between the theoretical scope of practice defined by national guidelines and the practical realities faced by doctors in public health centers.

4. Discussion: The Córdoba ContextThe unique socio-cultural context of **Argentina Córdoba** influences the practice of general medicine profoundly. As a hub for medical education in Latin America, the province produces a high number of graduates, yet retention and distribution remain challenges. The Doctor General Practitioner in this region is not merely a clinician but often acts as an educator and community advocate.

Furthermore, the integration of telemedicine has accelerated post-pandemic, offering new tools for G.P.s in **Argentina Córdoba** to reach remote populations. However, digital literacy among both providers and patients remains a barrier to equitable access. The study suggests that enhancing the role of the G.P. requires not only better training but also systemic support through digital infrastructure and reduced administrative loads.

5. Conclusion and RecommendationsIn conclusion, the Doctor General Practitioner is the backbone of the healthcare system in **Argentina Córdoba**. Their role extends beyond diagnosis and treatment to encompass prevention, health promotion, and care coordination. To further strengthen this critical link in the healthcare chain, we recommend:
