  • Rabies: Despite vaccination campaigns stray dog populations remain a primary vector. Post-exposure treatment availability has improved but public awareness remains low in marginalized communities.
  • Brucellosis: Prevalence in small ruminants ( sheep and goats ) continues to be high affecting milk safety and farmer health. Unpasteurized milk consumption is still a cultural norm contributing to transmission risks.Visceral Leishmaniasis: An increasing number of canine cases have been linked to human visceral leishmaniasis outbreaks suggesting a need for integrated vector control strategies involving both veterinary and public health sectors.Economic Impact
