Note: All items listed in this Purchase Order are intended exclusively for the use of the Academic Researcher Dr. Selamawit Tadesse and her research team at Addis Ababa University. The equipment shall be delivered to the Department of Environmental Science laboratory, College of Natural Sciences, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. All imported items are subject to customs clearance through the Ethiopian Customs Commission, Addis Ababa. The supplier is responsible for providing all necessary documentation for tax exemption under the Ethiopian Research and Academic Exemption Directive.Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order
- This Purchase Order is issued by the Academic Researcher, Dr. Selamawit Tadesse, acting under the authority of the Addis Ababa University Procurement Office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Purchase Order becomes binding upon written acceptance by the supplier.
- All goods and services referenced in this Purchase Order shall be delivered to the designated laboratory facility at Addis Ababa University, Bole Sub-City, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, no later than the Required Delivery Date stated above.
- Payment shall be processed in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice and confirmation of satisfactory delivery and installation of all items listed in this Purchase Order.
- The supplier warrants that all equipment and materials supplied under this Purchase Order are new, unused, and conform to the specifications outlined in the attached technical annex. A minimum warranty period of twenty-four (24) months shall apply to all electronic and mechanical items.
- Any delay in delivery beyond the stipulated date shall incur a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per calendar day of delay, up to a maximum of 10% of the total value. Delays exceeding fifteen (15) days entitle the Academic Researcher and Addis Ababa University to cancel this Purchase Order without penalty.
- All items subject to import regulations in Ethiopia shall be cleared through the appropriate channels in Addis Ababa. The supplier shall provide all certificates of origin, conformity, and safety documentation required by the Ethiopian Standards Agency (ESA).
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the Addis Ababa City Court or through arbitration as stipulated in the Ethiopian Commercial Code.
- The Academic Researcher reserves the right to inspect all goods upon delivery at the Addis Ababa University premises. Any items found to be defective, damaged, or non-conforming shall be replaced at the supplier's expense within fourteen (14) days.
- This Purchase Order does not constitute a guarantee of future purchases. All future procurement by the Academic Researcher or the Department shall be subject to separate Purchase Order documentation and institutional approval processes.
