This Purchase Order is issued by the Politecnico di Milano Research & Innovation Office to formally engage the above-named Academic Researcher for a defined period of collaborative research activities to be conducted within the Italy Milan metropolitan area. The Academic Researcher shall provide specialized expertise in computational neuroscience, neuroimaging data analysis, and interdisciplinary research methodology as outlined in the line items below. All deliverables, meetings, and on-site activities associated with this Purchase Order shall take place at the Politecnico di Milano campus in Milan, Italy, or at mutually agreed research facilities within the Italy Milan region.

- Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the IBAN specified in Section 1 within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice from the Academic Researcher.
- Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-ITM-2025-04871) and shall be submitted in accordance with Italian invoicing regulations (D.Lgs. 241/1997 and subsequent amendments).
- Monthly service fees (Items 01 and 04) shall be invoiced in arrears at the end of each calendar month.
- One-time charges (Items 02, 03, 05, and 06) shall be invoiced upon completion of the respective deliverable or service.
- Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate established under Italian civil law (Codice Civile, Art. 1284).
- All financial transactions related to this Purchase Order shall be conducted in Euros (EUR) through Italian banking channels.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic, with jurisdiction vested in the courts of Milan, Italy.
- The Academic Researcher agrees to comply with all institutional policies of the Politecnico di Milano, including data protection regulations (GDPR and Italian D.Lgs. 196/2003 as amended), research ethics guidelines, and intellectual property agreements specific to the Italy Milan academic ecosystem.
- All research data generated under this Purchase Order shall be stored on institutional servers located in Milan, Italy, and shall remain the property of the Politecnico di Milano unless otherwise agreed in a separate intellectual property addendum.
- The Academic Researcher shall maintain professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of € 1,000,000 for the duration of the engagement.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of early termination, the Academic Researcher shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the termination date.
- The Academic Researcher warrants that all work delivered under this Purchase Order shall be original, free from third-party claims, and conducted in full compliance with Italian and European research funding regulations.
- Confidentiality obligations shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
This Purchase Order becomes effective upon signature by both parties. The Academic Researcher acknowledges receipt of this Purchase Order and confirms acceptance of all terms, conditions, and scope of work described herein for the execution of research activities in Italy Milan.

This Purchase Order (PO-ITM-2025-04871) was issued by the Politecnico di Milano for the engagement of an Academic Researcher in Italy Milan. This document constitutes a binding agreement between the parties upon execution. All references to Italy Milan pertain to the city of Milan and its metropolitan area within the Lombardy region of the Italian Republic. This Purchase Order is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of this Purchase Order is prohibited under Italian copyright law (Legge 633/1941).
