All items referenced in this Purchase Order shall be delivered to the University of Dakar research laboratory located in the Plateau district of Dakar, Senegal, no later than 30 July 2025. The supplier is responsible for all transportation, customs clearance (where applicable for imported components), and final delivery to the designated Academic Researcher's office. Delivery during the dry season (November to May) is preferred to ensure safe handling of sensitive electronic instruments. The Academic Researcher, Dr. Ndiaye, or her designated laboratory manager shall inspect all goods upon arrival and sign the delivery receipt within five (5) business days.
- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Academic Researcher (Buyer) and Sahel Scientific Instruments S.A.R.L. (Supplier) for the procurement of research equipment and materials as itemized above.
- Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the supplier's account at Banque Atlantique Sénégal, Dakar, within forty-five (45) days of the date of this Purchase Order, subject to satisfactory delivery and inspection.
- All equipment must comply with the standards set by the Senegalese Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and must carry valid CE or equivalent international certification.
- The supplier warrants that all goods are new, unused, and free from defects. A minimum two-year warranty is required on all electronic and mechanical instruments.
- Any delay in delivery beyond the stipulated date shall incur a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.
- The Academic Researcher reserves the right to reject any item that does not meet the specifications outlined in this document. Rejected items must be replaced within fifteen (15) business days at the supplier's expense.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Senegal. Any disputes shall be resolved through the commercial courts of Dakar.
- Intellectual property rights related to the research data collected using the procured equipment remain solely with the University of Dakar and the Academic Researcher.
- The supplier shall provide full technical documentation, user manuals in French, and on-site training for the Academic Researcher's team within ten (10) business days of delivery.
- This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement signed by both parties.
Note: This Purchase Order is issued in support of the Academic Researcher's ongoing funded project on coastal ecosystem monitoring in the Senegal River Delta. All field equipment must be calibrated prior to delivery. The supplier is requested to coordinate with the University of Dakar's logistics office in Dakar to schedule the delivery window. Given the sensitive nature of the research, all data loggers must be factory-reset and encrypted before handover. The Academic Researcher's team will be available for a joint inspection on the day of delivery at the Plateau campus, Dakar, Senegal.
