Description of Services – Automotive Engineer EngagementThis Purchase Order is issued by Sahara Automotive Engineering (Pty) Ltd to formally request the engagement of a qualified Automotive Engineer to provide specialist technical services at our primary manufacturing and assembly facility located in South Africa Johannesburg. 1. Scope of Work: The Automotive Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform all duties at the Sahara Automotive Engineering facility in South Africa Johannesburg, specifically at the Sandton industrial precinct. The engineer must hold a minimum of a BEng (Mechanical/Automotive) degree from an accredited South African institution and possess at least eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in commercial vehicle powertrain engineering.
2. Commencement and Duration: Services shall commence on 16 June 2025 and continue for a period of three (3) calendar months, subject to satisfactory performance reviews conducted bi-weekly by the Chief Technical Officer. Extension of this Purchase Order may be negotiated in writing prior to expiry.
3. Payment Terms: Payment shall be made within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. Invoices must reference this Purchase Order number (PO-2025-JHB-04872) and the applicable line item. All payments shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the supplier's designated bank account in South Africa.
4. Intellectual Property: All designs, calculations, test data, and documentation produced by the Automotive Engineer during the term of this engagement shall be the sole property of Sahara Automotive Engineering (Pty) Ltd. The supplier warrants that no third-party intellectual property rights shall be infringed.
5. Health, Safety, and Compliance: The Automotive Engineer shall comply with all occupational health and safety regulations applicable in South Africa Johannesburg, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and all site-specific safety protocols. Valid medical fitness certificates and site induction training are prerequisites before commencing work.
6. Confidentiality: The supplier and the Automotive Engineer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, trade secrets, and technical data encountered during the course of this Purchase Order. A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has been executed and is incorporated by reference.
7. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days' written notice. In the event of termination for convenience, the supplier shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination, less any applicable deductions.
8. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa Johannesburg.
