This Purchase Order authorizes the engagement of a qualified Biologist to perform the following duties within the jurisdiction of Kuwait City, State of Kuwait:
- The Biologist shall conduct comprehensive biodiversity assessments across all designated ecological zones within Kuwait City, including the Kuwait Bay shoreline, Al-Ahmadi wetlands, and the urban green corridors of the capital.
- The Biologist is responsible for maintaining all scientific data, field notes, and laboratory records in accordance with the Kuwaiti Environmental Protection Law (Law No. 41 of 2014) and the data retention standards set by KNREA.
- The Biologist shall submit a detailed monthly progress report to the Procurement Director of KNREA, Kuwait City, no later than the fifth business day of each subsequent month.
- The Biologist must hold a valid professional license issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health and a recognized doctoral degree in Biology, Ecology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
- The Biologist shall comply with all local labor regulations applicable in Kuwait City, including working hours, leave entitlements, and occupational health and safety standards as governed by the Kuwaiti Labor Law (Law No. 6 of 2010).
- Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made in Kuwaiti Dinars (KWD) via bank transfer to the account designated by Gulf Scientific Consulting FZE, Kuwait City.
- An initial advance payment of 25% (KWD 16,642.50) shall be released within ten (10) business days of the formal acceptance of this Purchase Order by both parties in Kuwait City.
- Monthly service fees for the Biologist's laboratory and fieldwork shall be invoiced at the end of each calendar month and are payable within thirty (30) days of invoice receipt.
- Quarterly report fees shall be due within fifteen (15) days of the Biologist's formal submission and acceptance of each report by the KNREA review committee in Kuwait City.
- A final settlement of all outstanding balances, including any equipment costs, shall be completed within sixty (60) days of the Biologist's contract expiration date.
- Late payments shall incur a penalty of 1.5% per month, calculated in accordance with Kuwaiti commercial law provisions applicable in Kuwait City.
- The Biologist shall commence all duties no later than 1 July 2025 in Kuwait City.
- The full contract term for the Biologist's engagement is twelve (12) months, concluding on 30 June 2026, unless extended by mutual written agreement.
- All deliverables, including reports, data sets, and training materials, must be submitted to the KNREA headquarters in Al-Salimiyah, Kuwait City, in both digital (PDF and Excel) and hard-copy formats.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Kuwait, with jurisdiction vested in the courts of Kuwait City.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation in Kuwait City before either party may initiate formal litigation.
- The Biologist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of KWD 500,000, valid throughout the contract period in Kuwait City.
- Neither party may subcontract any portion of the Biologist's assigned duties without prior written consent from the other party, as stipulated in this Purchase Order.
- This Purchase Order becomes effective upon signature by both authorized representatives and remains valid until all obligations, payments, and deliverables are fully discharged.
- Confidentiality: All data, findings, and proprietary information generated by the Biologist during the course of this Purchase Order in Kuwait City shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written authorization from KNREA.
