This Purchase Order is issued by Alexandria University Medical Center to procure the professional services of a qualified Biomedical Engineer to be deployed at the Clinical Engineering Department located in Egypt Alexandria. The Biomedical Engineer shall be responsible for the installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance of all medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment across the hospital's twelve clinical departments. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following deliverables:

3.1 Contract Duration and Location
The Biomedical Engineer services under this Purchase Order shall commence on 1 July 2025 and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months, unless terminated earlier in accordance with Clause 3.7. All services shall be performed on-site at the Alexandria University Medical Center premises in Egypt Alexandria, Smouha District. The Biomedical Engineer is required to be physically present at the facility no fewer than five (5) working days per week, Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 17:00 local time, with additional on-call availability as specified in Item 2 above.
3.2 Qualification Requirements
The Biomedical Engineer assigned to this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from an accredited Egyptian university or an equivalent internationally recognized institution. A minimum of five (5) years of post-graduation experience in hospital clinical engineering is mandatory. The candidate must possess a valid professional license issued by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate (Alexandria Branch) and must demonstrate proficiency in both Arabic and English for all technical documentation and patient-facing communication.
3.3 Payment Terms
Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made in quarterly installments via bank transfer to the vendor's designated account at CIB Alexandria Branch. Each installment shall be due within thirty (30) calendar days following the end of the respective quarter and upon receipt of a valid tax invoice compliant with Egyptian Tax Authority regulations. No payment shall be released until the issuing department's Quality Assurance Officer has confirmed satisfactory completion of all deliverables for that period.
3.4 Regulatory Compliance — Egypt Alexandria
All services rendered under this Purchase Order must comply with the regulations of the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian National Agency for Safety and Quality in Healthcare (NASQH), and the local Alexandria Governorate Health Directorate. The Biomedical Engineer shall ensure that all medical devices serviced are registered with the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and that calibration records are maintained in accordance with ISO 13485 and IEC 62353 standards as adopted in Egypt Alexandria healthcare facilities.
3.5 Confidentiality and Data Protection
The Biomedical Engineer shall be bound by a strict non-disclosure agreement covering all patient data, proprietary equipment configurations, and institutional research data encountered during the course of service in Egypt Alexandria. Breach of confidentiality shall result in immediate termination of this Purchase Order and legal action under Egyptian Law No. 175 of 2018 (Personal Data Protection Law).
3.6 Insurance and Liability
The vendor shall maintain comprehensive professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of EGP 5,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order. The insurance policy must name Alexandria University Medical Center as an additional insured party and shall be issued by a licensed insurer operating in Egypt Alexandria.
3.7 Termination
Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with sixty (60) days' written notice. In the event of material breach, non-performance, or failure to meet the Biomedical Engineer qualification standards, the issuing organization reserves the right to terminate immediately upon written notice to the vendor's Alexandria office.
3.8 Governing Law
This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising herefrom shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Alexandria, Egypt.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement for the procurement of Biomedical Engineer professional services in Egypt Alexandria. All terms, conditions, and line items set forth herein are accepted in full.
