3. Scope of Work & Items Ordered

This Purchase Order is issued by the Federal Medical Centre, Nigeria Abuja, to procure the professional services of a qualified Biomedical Engineer for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and technical oversight of medical diagnostic and therapeutic equipment across all wards and departments of the facility located in Nigeria Abuja. The Biomedical Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring full compliance with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) standards and the Nigerian Medical Devices Regulatory Authority guidelines.

4. Terms and Conditions
  1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Federal Medical Centre, Nigeria Abuja, and MediTech Engineering Solutions Ltd. upon countersignature by both parties. All services and goods referenced herein shall be delivered to the facility premises in Nigeria Abuja unless otherwise stated in writing.
  2. The Biomedical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid professional registration with the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and a minimum of five (5) years of documented experience in hospital biomedical engineering. A copy of the NSE certificate and CV shall be submitted prior to commencement of work.
  3. All medical devices and equipment supplied under this Purchase Order must comply with the current regulations of NAFDAC and the Nigerian Medical Devices Regulatory Authority. The Biomedical Engineer shall provide certificates of conformity for each unit installed in Nigeria Abuja.
  4. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice and satisfactory completion of the corresponding milestone. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the supplier.
  5. The Biomedical Engineer shall submit a detailed monthly progress report to the Head of Procurement at the Federal Medical Centre, Nigeria Abuja, no later than the fifth (5th) business day of each month.
  6. Any deviation from the scope defined in this Purchase Order requires a written amendment signed by both parties. Unauthorized changes will not be compensated.
  7. The supplier warrants all supplied equipment for a minimum of twenty-four (24) months from the date of installation in Nigeria Abuja. The Biomedical Engineer shall address any warranty claims within forty-eight (48) hours of notification.
  8. This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Nigeria Abuja in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Cap A18, LFN 2004.
  9. The supplier shall maintain adequate professional indemnity and public liability insurance throughout the duration of this Purchase Order, with a minimum coverage of NGN 50,000,000.
  10. Confidentiality: All patient data, facility layouts, and proprietary information encountered by the Biomedical Engineer during the execution of this Purchase Order in Nigeria Abuja shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without written consent.
5. Delivery and Acceptance

All equipment and services under this Purchase Order shall be delivered and made available at the Federal Medical Centre premises in Nigeria Abuja within the timelines specified in the attached project schedule (Annex A). Acceptance of goods and services shall be confirmed in writing by the designated acceptance officer of the Federal Medical Centre, Nigeria Abuja, within seven (7) working days of delivery or completion.
