This Purchase Order is issued by Hospital Nacional de Lima S.A.C., a healthcare institution operating in Peru Lima, to formally request and authorize the procurement of specialized professional services rendered by a qualified Biomedical Engineer. The Biomedical Engineer assigned to fulfill the obligations under this Purchase Order must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Accredited degree in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field from a university recognized by the Ministry of Education of Peru.
  • Valid professional registration with the Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú, with a current license to practice in Peru Lima.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of documented professional experience in clinical engineering, medical device maintenance, or biomedical equipment management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Peruvian regulatory frameworks, including DIGEMID (Dirección General de Medicamentos, Insumos y Productos Sanitarios) standards and norms applicable to biomedical equipment in Peru Lima.
  • Fluency in Spanish; proficiency in English is considered an additional asset for this Purchase Order.

4.1 Commencement Date: The services of the Biomedical Engineer shall commence on July 1, 2025, at the buyer's primary facility in Peru Lima, unless otherwise agreed in writing by both parties.

4.2 Duration: This Purchase Order is valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the commencement date, subject to renewal by mutual written consent.

4.3 Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in monthly installments within fifteen (15) business days of receipt of a valid invoice from the supplier. All payments shall be processed in Peruvian Soles (PEN) via bank transfer to the account designated by Ingeniería Biomédica del Pacífico E.I.R.L.

4.4 Working Location: All services under this Purchase Order shall be performed at the buyer's facility in Peru Lima, or at such other locations within the Lima metropolitan area as may be reasonably required by the buyer for the Biomedical Engineer to carry out maintenance or calibration tasks.

4.5 Confidentiality: The Biomedical Engineer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient data, proprietary hospital systems, and internal operational information encountered during the performance of this Purchase Order in Peru Lima.

4.6 Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the buyer shall compensate the supplier for all services rendered by the Biomedical Engineer up to the effective date of termination.

4.7 Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the competent courts of Peru Lima.

The Biomedical Engineer shall submit a comprehensive monthly report to the buyer's Clinical Engineering Department detailing all maintenance activities, calibration results, corrective actions taken, and any recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements. These reports shall be submitted by the fifth (5th) business day of each month. Additionally, a final comprehensive report shall be delivered upon completion of the twelve-month term specified in this Purchase Order.

Note: This Purchase Order does not constitute an employment contract. The Biomedical Engineer shall be engaged as an independent professional service provider. The supplier is solely responsible for the social security contributions, taxes, and labor obligations of the Biomedical Engineer in accordance with Peruvian labor law applicable in Peru Lima.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of a Biomedical Engineer in Peru Lima. This document constitutes a binding agreement between the parties upon execution.
