This Purchase Order is issued by Meridian Interiors Pvt. Ltd. to engage the services of a qualified Carpenter, Shri Ramesh K., for the design, fabrication, and installation of custom wooden furniture and interior woodwork at the buyer's commercial premises located in India Bangalore. The Carpenter shall be responsible for all aspects of the woodwork project, including material selection, cutting, joinery, finishing, and on-site installation. The scope of work under this Purchase Order is detailed in the line items below and in the attached technical specifications (Annexure A).
The Carpenter is expected to adhere to all building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations as prescribed by the Government of Karnataka and the municipal authorities of India Bangalore. All work shall be carried out with professional-grade tools and shall meet the quality benchmarks established in the buyer's internal carpentry standards manual.

The Carpenter shall commence work on or before 22 June 2025 at the buyer's site in India Bangalore. The complete project, encompassing all line items listed in this Purchase Order, shall be delivered, installed, and made ready for inspection no later than 15 August 2025. The Carpenter is required to submit a detailed weekly progress report to the buyer's project manager every Friday. Any delay beyond the stipulated timeline, unless caused by force majeure, shall attract a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, as per standard commercial practice in India Bangalore.
5.1 This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Carpenter upon signature by both parties. All work shall be performed in strict compliance with the specifications outlined in Annexure A attached to this Purchase Order.
5.2 The Carpenter warrants that all materials used (including but not limited to Sheesham, Teak, and hardwood flooring) shall be FSC-certified or equivalent, free from termites, and sourced legally in accordance with the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, and applicable regulations in India Bangalore.
5.3 Payment shall be made in three milestones: 30% advance upon acceptance of this Purchase Order, 40% upon completion of fabrication and delivery to the India Bangalore site, and 30% upon final inspection and sign-off by the buyer's quality assurance team.
5.4 The Carpenter shall provide a warranty of 24 months on all workmanship and 12 months on all hardware and fittings. Any defects discovered within the warranty period shall be rectified by the Carpenter at no additional cost to the buyer.
5.5 The Carpenter shall maintain adequate insurance coverage, including public liability and workers' compensation, for the duration of the project. Proof of insurance shall be submitted prior to commencing work at the India Bangalore premises.
5.6 All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in India Bangalore in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The jurisdiction of the courts of India Bangalore shall be exclusively applicable.
5.7 The Carpenter shall comply with all applicable labour laws, including the Factories Act, 1948, and the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, for any sub-contracted labour engaged in the execution of this Purchase Order.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this Purchase Order for Carpenter services in India Bangalore. This document, together with its annexures, forms the complete and exclusive agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter herein.
