This Purchase Order is issued by Grand Ceylon Hospitality Group (Pvt) Ltd. for the procurement of professional Chef services to be rendered at our flagship restaurant and banquet facility located in the heart of Sri Lanka Colombo. The selected Chef shall be responsible for the complete culinary operations, menu development, kitchen management, and food quality assurance across all dining outlets within the property.

The Chef and associated culinary team engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties at the Grand Ceylon Hospitality Group premises in Sri Lanka Colombo:
- Oversee all food preparation, cooking, and plating operations in accordance with international hospitality standards and the specific culinary identity of the Sri Lanka Colombo dining experience.
- Develop, implement, and periodically revise menus that reflect both authentic Sri Lankan flavors and contemporary international cuisine, ensuring the Chef's creative vision aligns with the brand positioning in Colombo.
- Manage kitchen inventory, procurement of fresh ingredients from local Colombo markets and approved suppliers, and maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols as mandated by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).
- Train, mentor, and supervise all junior kitchen personnel, ensuring consistent quality output across all service periods in the Sri Lanka Colombo establishment.
- Collaborate with the Front-of-House management to ensure seamless service delivery, guest satisfaction, and timely course presentation.
- Comply with all labor laws, employment regulations, and health and safety directives applicable in Sri Lanka Colombo, including those enforced by the Department of Labour and the Colombo Municipal Council.
- Submit monthly operational reports, cost analysis, and inventory audits to the Procurement and Finance departments of Grand Ceylon Hospitality Group.
- Payment shall be made in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) via bank transfer to the account designated by Culinary Excellence Sri Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of invoice submission.
- A 10% advance payment shall be disbursed upon execution of this Purchase Order and confirmation of the Chef's onboarding in Sri Lanka Colombo.
- Monthly service charges for the Chef and culinary team shall be invoiced on the first business day of each month for the preceding month's services rendered.
- Any late payment beyond the stipulated thirty-day period shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, calculated on the outstanding balance.
- All payments are subject to the satisfactory completion of services as outlined in this Purchase Order. The Buyer reserves the right to withhold payment for any services not rendered to the agreed standard.
- Tax invoices compliant with the Inland Revenue Department of Sri Lanka shall accompany all payment requests.
The Chef and the full culinary team shall report for duty at the Grand Ceylon Hospitality Group premises, 42 Galle Road, Colombo 03, Sri Lanka Colombo, no later than 01 July 2025. A two-week probationary period shall apply during which the Buyer may evaluate the Chef's performance, culinary output, and team management capabilities. Failure to meet the agreed performance benchmarks during this period shall entitle the Buyer to terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of seven (7) days.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Colombo, Sri Lanka Colombo, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Sri Lanka.
- The Chef and all associated personnel shall maintain valid work permits, health certificates, and food handler licenses as required by Sri Lankan law for the duration of this engagement.
- Confidentiality: All proprietary recipes, menu designs, supplier lists, and operational strategies developed or disclosed during the term of this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of Grand Ceylon Hospitality Group. The Chef agrees to a non-disclosure period of twenty-four (24) months post-termination.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions in Sri Lanka Colombo, or public health emergencies.
- This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement signed by authorized representatives of both parties.
- The Supplier warrants that the Chef engaged under this Purchase Order possesses a minimum of ten (10) years of professional culinary experience, including at least three (3) years in a senior Chef role at a five-star hospitality establishment.
