The Chef engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties and responsibilities within the Zimbabwe Harare operational base:

• Design, develop, and implement seasonal and special-event menus incorporating both international cuisine and indigenous Zimbabwean culinary traditions, including but not limited to nyama nyama, sadza-based dishes, and local game preparations.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including staff supervision, inventory control, and compliance with the Zimbabwe Food Safety and Quality Authority (ZIMSAF) regulations.
• Ensure all food preparation meets the standards set by the Zimbabwean Ministry of Health and the Harare City Council environmental health directives.
• Procure and source quality ingredients from approved local suppliers within Zimbabwe Harare and the surrounding regions, ensuring cost efficiency and supply chain reliability.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in proper hygiene, food safety, and culinary techniques in accordance with international best practices.
• Prepare and submit weekly cost reports, inventory audits, and menu performance analyses to the General Manager of Savanna Hospitality Group.
• Represent the establishment at industry events, food festivals, and culinary competitions held in Zimbabwe Harare and across the country.

1. This Purchase Order is subject to the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe, including the Labour Act [Chapter 28:01] and the Companies and Other Business Entities Act [Chapter 24:31].
2. The Chef shall be engaged as an independent contractor through Culinary Excellence Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd and shall not be deemed an employee of Savanna Hospitality Group for the purposes of this Purchase Order.
3. Payment shall be made in United States Dollars (USD) via electronic funds transfer to the vendor's designated bank account within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. All payments are subject to the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) withholding tax provisions where applicable.
4. The Chef must hold a valid Zimbabwean work permit or be a Zimbabwean national. All professional certifications, including a recognized culinary diploma or equivalent, must be presented prior to commencement of services.
5. Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination for cause, the terminating party must provide a detailed written explanation of the breach.
6. All intellectual property, including proprietary recipes and menu designs developed specifically for Savanna Hospitality Group under this Purchase Order, shall remain the exclusive property of the issuing company.
7. The Chef shall maintain comprehensive professional indemnity and public liability insurance with a minimum cover of USD 500,000, valid throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
8. Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Zimbabwe Harare, and failing resolution within sixty (60) days, through arbitration under the rules of the Zimbabwe Arbitration Centre.

Services under this Purchase Order shall commence on 1 August 2025 at the Savanna Hospitality Group premises, 142 Samora Machel Avenue, Harare, Zimbabwe. The Chef is required to be present on-site from 07:00 to 17:00, Monday through Saturday, with availability for Sunday and public holiday events as mutually agreed in writing. All deliverables, including menus, reports, and training materials, shall be submitted to the General Manager no later than 16:00 on the agreed due date.

This Purchase Order is valid only upon signature by both parties. By signing below, the vendor acknowledges receipt of this Purchase Order and agrees to furnish the Chef services and related deliverables as described herein.
