Description of Services – Engagement of a Chemical EngineerThis Purchase Order is issued by Tanzania Industrial Solutions Ltd. to formally engage the services of a qualified Chemical Engineer for the design, supervision, and commissioning of a new chemical processing facility located in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. The Chemical Engineer shall be responsible for all technical aspects of the project, including process design, equipment specification, safety compliance, and operational oversight in accordance with the standards set by the Tanzania Engineering Council and the Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS).

1. Scope of Work: The Chemical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform all duties in strict accordance with the project specifications annexed to this document. All work shall be carried out at the designated site in Tanzania Dar es Salaam, specifically within the Dar es Salaam Industrial Development Authority (DIDA) zone.
2. Qualifications: The Chemical Engineer must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution, be registered with the Tanzania Engineering Council, and possess a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in chemical process industries. A valid professional practice license issued in Tanzania is mandatory.
3. Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in three (3) installments: 30% upon signing of this Purchase Order, 40% upon completion of the on-site supervision phase, and 30% upon successful commissioning and handover. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the vendor's account in Tanzania Dar es Salaam within fourteen (14) calendar days of invoice submission.
4. Compliance: The Chemical Engineer shall ensure full compliance with all applicable Tanzanian laws, including the Environmental Management Act (Cap. 403), the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and all municipal by-laws of the Dar es Salaam City Council. Failure to comply shall result in immediate termination of this Purchase Order.
5. Insurance and Liability: The vendor shall maintain comprehensive professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance with a minimum cover of TZS 500,000,000 for the duration of the engagement in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
6. Intellectual Property: All designs, drawings, calculations, and documentation produced by the Chemical Engineer under this Purchase Order shall become the exclusive property of Tanzania Industrial Solutions Ltd. upon full payment.
7. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Tanzania. The language of arbitration shall be English.
8. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Chemical Engineer shall be compensated for all work satisfactorily completed up to the date of termination.
