All services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be performed in Kazakhstan Almaty. The Data Scientist is expected to report to the buyer's primary office located at 50 Abai Avenue, Almaty, on a full-time basis during standard business hours (09:00–18:00, Monday through Friday, Kazakhstan time, UTC+5). Remote work from any location within the Almaty city limits is permissible for up to two days per week, subject to prior written approval from the buyer's project manager.
The Data Scientist shall have access to the buyer's on-premise data infrastructure, cloud environments, and proprietary datasets stored within Kazakhstan's jurisdiction. All data processing, model training, and analytical work shall comply with the Data Protection Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Law No. 94-V, 21 May 2014) and applicable regulations of the Kazakhstan Almaty regional authority.
The Data Scientist assigned to fulfill the obligations under this Purchase Order must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or applied statistics.
- A Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and at least one major machine learning framework (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, or equivalent distributed computing platforms.
- Working knowledge of the Kazakhstan Almaty business environment, local market dynamics, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in English and Kazakh; proficiency in Russian is considered a strong advantage for this role.
- Payment shall be made in ten (10) equal monthly installments of 6,830,000 KZT each, due on the last business day of each calendar month.
- Invoices shall be submitted to the buyer's accounts payable department in Almaty no later than the 25th of each month for the preceding period.
- Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account within Kazakhstan. The supplier's bank details are as follows: IBAN: KZ85 9900 0000 0000 0000 0000, Bank: Jusan Bank, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
- A late payment penalty of 0.05% per calendar day shall apply to any overdue amounts, in accordance with the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- All amounts stated in this Purchase Order are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate of 12% in Kazakhstan, which shall be added to each invoice.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the Almaty City Court of General Jurisdiction.
- Confidentiality: The Data Scientist shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all proprietary data, trade secrets, and business information of the buyer. A separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) executed prior to commencement is a condition precedent to this Purchase Order.
- Intellectual Property: All models, algorithms, code, reports, and analytical outputs created by the Data Scientist in the course of performing services under this Purchase Order shall be the sole and exclusive property of the buyer.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of material breach, the non-breaching party may terminate immediately upon written notice.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government sanctions, or public health emergencies affecting Kazakhstan Almaty.
- Compliance: The supplier warrants that the Data Scientist shall comply with all applicable labor laws, tax obligations, and professional standards in Kazakhstan. The supplier is solely responsible for the employment relationship, social contributions, and statutory benefits of the Data Scientist.
- Performance Review: The buyer reserves the right to conduct quarterly performance evaluations of the Data Scientist. Failure to meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for two consecutive quarters shall constitute grounds for termination without penalty.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order. This document constitutes a binding procurement agreement for the engagement of the Data Scientist in Kazakhstan Almaty for the duration specified herein.
