The Data Scientist shall be based and perform all duties at the buyer's primary office located in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur, specifically at Menara Maxis, Jalan Tun Razak. The engagement is structured as a twelve (12) month contract with the option to extend for an additional six (6) months subject to mutual agreement and performance review.

The Data Scientist engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for the following duties and deliverables while operating out of the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur office:

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and statistical algorithms to extract actionable insights from large-scale datasets relevant to the Southeast Asian digital marketplace.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and predictive modeling using Python, R, and advanced statistical frameworks.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for real-time analytics dashboards serving executive stakeholders in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur and regional offices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and business intelligence to translate data findings into strategic recommendations.
• Present findings and model performance metrics to senior leadership on a monthly basis at the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur headquarters.
• Ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia and all applicable data governance standards in the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur jurisdiction.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the internal knowledge-sharing programme of the analytics division.

Payment for this Purchase Order shall be made on a monthly basis via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account. Invoices shall be submitted by the 5th business day of each month for services rendered in the preceding month. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice. All amounts are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are subject to the prevailing service tax rate applicable in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. Late payments shall incur a penalty of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.

1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Buyer and the Supplier upon signature by both authorised representatives. All terms herein shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia, with jurisdiction vested in the courts of Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
2. The Data Scientist shall be considered a contractor of the Supplier and not an employee of the Buyer. The Supplier shall be responsible for all statutory employer contributions, including EPF (Employees Provident Fund), SOCSO, and EIS as mandated by Malaysian labour law.
3. The Supplier warrants that the Data Scientist placed under this Purchase Order possesses a minimum of a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, along with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in machine learning and predictive analytics.
4. All intellectual property, models, code, and analytical outputs produced by the Data Scientist during the term of this engagement shall be the sole property of the Buyer. The Data Scientist shall execute a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and intellectual property assignment document prior to commencing work in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur.
5. Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination for cause, the terminating party shall provide a detailed written explanation of the breach.
6. The Supplier shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of MYR 2,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
7. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur before escalation to litigation.
8. The Data Scientist shall adhere to the Buyer's code of conduct, workplace safety policies, and all operational procedures in effect at the Malaysia Kuala Lumpur premises.
