3. Description of Goods / Services

This Purchase Order is issued by PT Nusantara Media & Research Institute, headquartered in Indonesia Jakarta, for the procurement of institutional subscriptions to The Economist magazine. The subscription shall provide continuous access to the weekly publication, including both the print edition delivered to our Jakarta office and full digital access via The Economist's online platform. The subscription is intended to support the research, analysis, and editorial teams of our institute in their ongoing work on global economic policy, international trade, and geopolitical developments relevant to the Southeast Asian region and the broader Indonesia Jakarta metropolitan business community.

4. Delivery and Logistics

All physical copies of The Economist magazine, including the weekly print edition and the back issues archive, shall be delivered to the following address in Indonesia Jakarta:

Delivery shall be made via a licensed international courier service registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Trade. All shipments must comply with the regulations of the Directorate General of Customs and Border Security (Bea Cukai) of the Republic of Indonesia. The supplier or its authorized agent in Indonesia Jakarta shall be responsible for completing all import documentation, including the Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Certificate of Origin. The estimated delivery window for the initial shipment of back issues is within 21 business days from the date of this Purchase Order. Weekly print editions shall arrive every Thursday, aligned with the standard publication schedule of The Economist.

5. Payment Terms and Conditions
  1. Payment shall be made in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) via bank transfer to the account of PT Global Print Distribution Indonesia, the authorized regional agent for The Economist in Indonesia Jakarta. Bank: Bank Mandiri, Account No. 1234-5678-9012, Branch: SCBD Jakarta.
  2. Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days from the date of invoice issuance, in accordance with standard commercial practice in Indonesia Jakarta.
  3. A 10% advance payment (down payment) of IDR 18,814,500 shall be remitted within five (5) business days of the acceptance of this Purchase Order to initiate the subscription and processing of the back issues order.
  4. The remaining balance of IDR 169,330,500 shall be settled upon confirmed delivery of all items to our Indonesia Jakarta premises and successful activation of the digital access license.
  5. All payments are subject to the applicable Indonesian tax regulations, including Value Added Tax (PPN) at the prevailing rate of 11% and any applicable withholding tax (PPh) as determined by the Directorate General of Taxes (Ditjen Pajak).
  6. Late payments shall incur a penalty of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, calculated from the due date.
6. Terms and Conditions
  1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between PT Nusantara Media & Research Institute (Indonesia Jakarta) and The Economist Group, Ltd., upon written acceptance by both parties.
  2. The subscription to The Economist shall commence on 1 July 2025 and shall remain active for a period of twelve (12) months, unless terminated earlier in accordance with the cancellation policy.
  3. The digital access license is non-transferable and is restricted to the named institutional entity and its employees based in Indonesia Jakarta. Unauthorized sharing of credentials shall result in immediate suspension of access.
  4. The supplier warrants that all print copies of The Economist delivered shall be in pristine condition, free from damage, water exposure, or printing defects. Any defective copies shall be replaced within seven (7) business days at no additional cost.
  5. This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through arbitration in Indonesia Jakarta in accordance with the rules of the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI).
  6. Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or international shipping disruptions affecting delivery to Indonesia Jakarta, shall exempt the affected party from liability for delayed performance, provided written notice is given within 48 hours of the event.
  7. The supplier shall maintain full confidentiality regarding the purchasing entity's data, subscription details, and any proprietary information shared in connection with this Purchase Order.
  8. Any amendments to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by authorized representatives of both parties.
7. Acceptance and Authorization

This Purchase Order for the The Economist institutional subscription is hereby issued and authorized for execution by the undersigned on behalf of PT Nusantara Media & Research Institute, Indonesia Jakarta. The supplier is requested to confirm acceptance by signing and returning a copy of this document within five (5) business days.
