3. Scope of Work – Environmental Engineer Services

This Purchase Order is issued by the Tanzania Environmental Infrastructure Development Authority (TEIDA) to procure the professional services of a qualified Environmental Engineer to be deployed and operational in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. The Environmental Engineer shall be responsible for conducting comprehensive environmental impact assessments, designing pollution control systems, overseeing waste management infrastructure projects, and ensuring full compliance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) of Tanzania and all applicable regulations enforced by the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) in Dar es Salaam and the broader coastal region.

The Environmental Engineer shall possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from a recognized institution, a valid professional license issued by the Engineering Board of Tanzania, and a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in environmental consulting within East Africa. The Environmental Engineer must be physically present in Tanzania Dar es Salaam for no fewer than five (5) working days per week throughout the contract duration.

5. Terms and Conditions

1. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between TEIDA and GreenSolutions East Africa Environmental Consulting Ltd. upon signature by both authorized representatives. All services described herein shall be rendered in Tanzania Dar es Salaam unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. The Environmental Engineer assigned to this Purchase Order must hold a valid practicing certificate from the Engineering Board of Tanzania and must maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of TZS 500,000,000 throughout the engagement period.
3. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the supplier. All payments shall be processed in Tanzanian Shillings via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account in Dar es Salaam.
4. The Environmental Engineer shall submit monthly progress reports to the Procurement Director of TEIDA by the 5th business day of each month. Failure to submit reports for two consecutive months shall constitute a material breach of this Purchase Order.
5. All environmental data, site assessments, and technical reports produced by the Environmental Engineer in the course of this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of TEIDA. The Environmental Engineer shall not disclose, publish, or share such information with any third party without prior written consent.
6. The supplier shall comply with all applicable Tanzanian labor laws, tax obligations, and environmental regulations as enforced in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. Any penalties or fines arising from non-compliance shall be borne entirely by the supplier.
7. This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Environmental Engineer shall complete all outstanding deliverables and hand over all project documentation within the notice period.
8. Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Tanzania. The courts of Dar es Salaam shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
9. The Environmental Engineer shall adhere to the code of professional conduct established by the Engineering Board of Tanzania and shall maintain the highest standards of ethical practice throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.

6. Acceptance and Authorization

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the procurement of Environmental Engineer services in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
