Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order

  1. This Purchase Order is issued by Al-Madina Geological & Engineering Consultants (Pvt.) Ltd., Karachi, Pakistan, and constitutes a binding agreement upon acceptance by the Geologist service provider named herein.
  2. The Geologist shall possess valid professional registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and shall maintain all necessary insurance coverage for the duration of the engagement in Pakistan Karachi.
  3. All geological data, reports, and intellectual property generated under this Purchase Order shall remain the exclusive property of the Buyer. The Geologist shall not disclose, publish, or share any project-specific information with third parties without prior written consent.
  4. The Geologist is required to comply with all applicable laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, including the Sindh Mines and Minerals Act, the Pakistan Environmental Protection Act 1997, and the Pakistan Building Code 2023, as they pertain to geological and geotechnical work in the Karachi region.
  5. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as per the Pakistan State Bank prevailing rates.
  6. The Geologist shall submit a detailed work plan within seven (7) days of the commencement date. Monthly progress reports shall be submitted by the 5th of each month to the Buyer's project management office in Karachi.
  7. Any variation or amendment to the scope of work outlined in this Purchase Order must be documented in a formal variation order signed by both parties. No additional work shall be considered billable without such written authorization.
  8. The Geologist shall provide all necessary field equipment, sampling tools, and laboratory coordination at their own cost unless otherwise specified in the line items above. Travel and accommodation within Pakistan Karachi shall be borne by the Buyer.
  9. In the event of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or civil unrest in the Karachi area, either party may suspend obligations with written notice. The completion timeline shall be extended accordingly.
  10. This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Karachi under the Arbitration Act 1940.
  11. The Geologist warrants that all data and findings submitted shall be accurate, complete, and free from material misrepresentation. The Buyer reserves the right to reject non-conforming deliverables and request rework at the Geologist's expense.
