This Purchase Order is issued by the Tanzania Geological Survey Authority to engage the services of a qualified Geologist for the purpose of conducting comprehensive geological field surveys, mineral resource assessments, and environmental geotechnical evaluations within the Dar es Salaam region of Tanzania. The Geologist shall perform all duties in strict accordance with the Tanzania Minerals Act (Cap. 363), the Environmental Management Act (Cap. 205), and the professional standards set forth by the Tanzania Council of Professional Geologists. All fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and reporting shall be conducted within the administrative boundaries of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, unless otherwise authorized in writing by the Purchasing Entity.

- Professional Qualification: The Geologist engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Geology or a related earth science discipline and must maintain an active, unexpired professional registration with the Tanzania Council of Professional Geologists (TCPG). A certified copy of the registration certificate shall be submitted to the Purchasing Entity prior to commencement of fieldwork in Dar es Salaam.
- Place of Performance: All services described in this Purchase Order shall be performed exclusively within the city and metropolitan area of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, unless a written extension of scope is issued by the Tanzania Geological Survey Authority. The Geologist shall comply with all local municipal regulations of the Dar es Salaam City Council regarding field access, environmental permits, and public safety.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in three (3) tranches: 30% upon signed acceptance of this Purchase Order, 40% upon completion and acceptance of fieldwork deliverables (Items 1–3), and 30% upon final acceptance of the consolidated geological dossier (Item 6). All payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the account designated by the Geologist and shall be subject to standard Tanzanian withholding tax deductions as prescribed by the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Intellectual Property: All geological data, core samples, GIS layers, reports, and analytical results generated under this Purchase Order shall become the exclusive property of the Tanzania Geological Survey Authority upon full payment. The Geologist shall not reproduce, publish, or distribute any portion of the deliverables without prior written consent from the Purchasing Entity.
- Health, Safety & Environment: The Geologist shall adhere to all occupational health and safety standards applicable in Tanzania, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Cap. 379). Personal protective equipment, field safety protocols, and environmental compliance measures shall be observed at all times during fieldwork in Dar es Salaam.
- Confidentiality: The Geologist shall treat all proprietary geological information, mineral resource data, and client-sensitive documents as strictly confidential. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
- Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from or in connection with this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation under the Tanzania Arbitration Act (Cap. 20). Failing amicable resolution, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, including all applicable regulations of the Dar es Salaam municipal authority.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or civil unrest within Tanzania. The affected party shall notify the other in writing within seven (7) calendar days of the occurrence.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. Upon termination, the Geologist shall deliver all work-in-progress materials and data to the Purchasing Entity, and payment shall be made pro-rata for services satisfactorily rendered up to the date of termination.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of Geologist professional services in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. This document constitutes a binding procurement instrument under the Tanzania Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Cap. 393).
