Description of Purchase
This Purchase Order is issued by Al Jazeera Media Group, Doha Operations Division, to engage the services of an independent Journalist for the production of a multi-part investigative documentary series covering economic development, cultural heritage, and urban transformation in Qatar Doha. The Journalist shall be responsible for conducting on-site reporting, conducting interviews with local officials and community members, gathering archival materials, and delivering edited written and video content in accordance with the editorial standards established by the Doha-based production team. All work shall be performed within the State of Qatar, with primary operations centered in the Qatar Doha metropolitan area, including but not limited to the West Bay financial district, the Old Souq, the Lusail New City development zone, and the Doha Corniche waterfront.

Terms and Conditions
- Scope of Work: The Journalist shall perform all duties as a credentialed press professional registered with the Qatar Press and Media Authority. All reporting activities must comply with the Qatar Press Law (Law No. 1 of 2011) and the regulations governing foreign and domestic media operations in Qatar Doha.
- Timeline: All deliverables outlined in this Purchase Order must be completed no later than 30 September 2025. Interim progress reports are due bi-weekly to the Doha Operations Division editorial lead.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in three (3) installments: 30% upon signing of this Purchase Order, 40% upon delivery of all field reporting materials, and 30% upon final acceptance of all edited content. Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the Journalist's designated account within Qatar Doha within fourteen (14) business days of invoice submission.
- Intellectual Property: Upon full payment, all rights to the written articles, video segments, photographs, and associated media produced under this Purchase Order shall vest exclusively in Al Jazeera Media Group. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author and principal reporter.
- Confidentiality: The Journalist agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding unpublished sources, internal editorial discussions, and any proprietary information encountered during the production of this project in Qatar Doha.
- Compliance: The Journalist warrants that all content produced shall adhere to the editorial code of conduct of the purchasing organization and shall not contain defamatory, misleading, or legally actionable material under the laws of the State of Qatar.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Journalist shall be compensated for all work completed and documented up to the date of termination.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Doha, Qatar.
