This Purchase Order is issued by the Accra Medical Diagnostics & Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "the Institute") for the procurement of professional Laboratory Technician services to be rendered at the Institute's primary facility located in Ghana Accra. The purpose of this Purchase Order is to formally engage a qualified and certified Laboratory Technician to support the Institute's clinical diagnostics, research, and quality assurance operations in accordance with the standards set by the Ghana Health Service and the West African Health Organisation (WAHO).
The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for performing a comprehensive range of laboratory analyses, including but not limited to haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, parasitology, and serological testing. The Laboratory Technician shall operate within the Institute's central laboratory wing situated in the heart of Ghana Accra, ensuring that all diagnostic services meet the regulatory requirements of the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority (GFDA) and the Ministry of Health, Republic of Ghana.

The Laboratory Technician engaged pursuant to this Purchase Order must satisfy the following minimum qualifications and professional requirements:
- A National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Technology, or a closely related field from a recognised institution in Ghana or an equivalent foreign institution accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
- Current professional registration and licence to practise as a Laboratory Technician with the Ghana Health Service and the Medical Laboratory Scientists Association of Ghana (MLSAG).
- A minimum of three (3) years of post-qualification experience in a clinical or research laboratory setting, preferably within West Africa or the Ghana Accra metropolitan area.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating automated haematology and biochemistry analysers, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) systems, and basic microbiological culture techniques.
- Working knowledge of the Ghana National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) diagnostic billing protocols and the Institute's internal Laboratory Information Management System.
- Valid Ghanaian work permit or citizenship documentation, as required by the Ghana Immigration Service for employment in Ghana Accra.
The following terms and conditions govern this Purchase Order and the engagement of the Laboratory Technician in Ghana Accra:
- Commencement: The Laboratory Technician shall report for duty at the Institute's facility in Ghana Accra no later than 01 July 2025. Failure to commence within five (5) business days of the stated date without written justification may result in cancellation of this Purchase Order.
- Working Hours: The Laboratory Technician shall work a standard forty (40) hour week, Monday through Friday, from 07:30 to 16:30, with a one-hour lunch break. On-call duties for emergency diagnostic panels may be scheduled on a rotational basis.
- Confidentiality: The Laboratory Technician shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient data, research findings, and proprietary methods of the Institute. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Compliance: The Laboratory Technician shall comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Ghana, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 2003 (Act 654), and all institutional policies of the Institute in Ghana Accra.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. Termination for cause may be effected immediately upon written notice specifying the grounds for termination.
- Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the dispute shall be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Ghana Accra, Republic of Ghana.
This Purchase Order is issued under the authority of the Board of Directors of the Accra Medical Diagnostics & Research Institute. The Laboratory Technician, upon acceptance of this Purchase Order, agrees to all terms, conditions, and scope of work outlined herein for the duration of the engagement in Ghana Accra.
