2. Description of Procured Services
This Purchase Order is issued by Amsterdam Biomedical Research Institute (ABRI) to formally procure the professional services of a qualified Laboratory Technician to be deployed at the ABRI facility located in Netherlands Amsterdam. 4. Place of Service and Deployment
The Laboratory Technician procured under this Purchase Order shall be physically deployed and shall perform all assigned duties at the ABRI primary research facility situated at Science Park 402, 1098 XH Amsterdam, Netherlands. All work shall be conducted within the boundaries of the Netherlands Amsterdam metropolitan area unless prior written authorization is granted by the Procurement Director. The Laboratory Technician is expected to report to the facility on a Monday-through-Friday schedule, 08:00 to 17:00 CET, with a one-hour unpaid lunch interval. Any relocation or secondary site assignments within the Netherlands Amsterdam region must be documented as an amendment to this Purchase Order.
5. Qualification Requirements for the Laboratory Technician
The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of a BSc degree in Laboratory Science, Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. The candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years of documented professional experience in a clinical or research laboratory environment. Valid certification under the Dutch "Wet op de beroepen in de individuele gezondheidszorg" (Wet BIG) or equivalent laboratory accreditation is required. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Dutch is considered a significant advantage given the operational context in Netherlands Amsterdam. The Laboratory Technician must also demonstrate familiarity with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and compliance with EU Directive 98/79/EC on in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
6. Terms and Conditions
- Payment Terms: Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice by the ABRI Finance Department. All payments shall be made via SEPA bank transfer to the account designated by MedStaff Europe B.V.
- Contract Duration: This Purchase Order covers an initial engagement period of twelve (12) months commencing on 1 August 2025. Renewal shall be subject to mutual written agreement no later than thirty (30) days prior to the expiration date.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice period of sixty (60) days. In the event of material breach, termination may be effected with fourteen (14) days' notice.
- Compliance: The Laboratory Technician shall adhere to all applicable laws and regulations of the Netherlands, including but not limited to the Dutch Working Conditions Act (Arbeidsomstandighedenwet), the GDPR as implemented in the Netherlands, and all laboratory safety standards enforced by the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO).
- Confidentiality: The Laboratory Technician shall be bound by a strict non-disclosure agreement covering all proprietary research data, patient information, and intellectual property encountered during the course of employment in Netherlands Amsterdam.
- Insurance and Liability: MedStaff Europe B.V. shall maintain comprehensive professional liability insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 2,000,000 per occurrence. The Laboratory Technician shall be covered under the supplier's employer's liability policy for the full duration of this Purchase Order.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in accordance with the rules of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NVI). If mediation fails, the matter shall be referred to the competent courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
