The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Purchase Order shall report to the Director of Laboratory Operations at the MedLab Solutions facility in United States Houston. Primary duties include: receiving, logging, and preparing patient specimens; operating automated and manual laboratory analyzers; performing quality control procedures daily; maintaining accurate patient records in the Laboratory Information System (LIS); ensuring compliance with CLIA '88, CAP accreditation standards, and Texas Administrative Code Title 25; and assisting senior laboratory scientists with complex diagnostic panels. The Laboratory Technician must hold a valid National Clinical Laboratory Association (NCLA) certification or equivalent and maintain a current Texas state license where applicable.
- Payment Terms: Net 30 days from receipt of a valid invoice. All payments shall be made via ACH transfer to the vendor account designated in this Purchase Order.
- Performance Period: The Laboratory Technician assignment shall commence on July 1, 2025, and continue through June 30, 2026, unless terminated earlier per Section 7.
- Compliance: The vendor shall ensure the Laboratory Technician complies with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, HIPAA privacy regulations, and all local ordinances applicable to clinical laboratories in United States Houston.
- Insurance: The vendor shall maintain general liability insurance of no less than $2,000,000 per occurrence and workers' compensation coverage as required by Texas state law for the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Background Check: Prior to the Laboratory Technician commencing work at the United States Houston facility, a comprehensive criminal background check, drug screening, and reference verification must be completed and approved by MedLab Solutions Human Resources.
- Confidentiality: The Laboratory Technician shall execute a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to accessing any patient data or proprietary laboratory methodologies.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the vendor shall provide a qualified replacement Laboratory Technician within 10 business days at no additional cost.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, with jurisdiction in the Harris County District Courts, United States Houston.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by acts of God, natural disasters (including but not limited to hurricanes affecting the United States Houston region), or government-mandated closures.
The Laboratory Technician shall report to the MedLab Solutions diagnostic laboratory at 4500 Gulf Freeway, Suite 320, United States Houston, TX 77023, no later than 7:00 AM Central Time on July 1, 2025. The vendor is responsible for ensuring the Laboratory Technician arrives with all required identification, certification documentation, and signed onboarding paperwork. A site orientation covering emergency evacuation routes, biosafety protocols, and facility-specific procedures will be conducted on the first day of assignment.
This Purchase Order is valid for acceptance within 10 business days of the date of issue. By signing below, the vendor acknowledges and agrees to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this document for the provision of Laboratory Technician services in United States Houston.
