The Laboratory Technician must hold a minimum of a National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognised institution in Zimbabwe and be registered with the Medical Laboratory Technicians Council of Zimbabwe.

Provision of an additional Laboratory Technician on a part-time basis (24 hours per week) to assist during peak sample processing periods at the Zimbabwe Harare laboratory. The Laboratory Technician shall be responsible for haematology, biochemistry, and microbiology sample handling in compliance with Zimbabwe National Standards Authority (ZANAS) regulations.

Scope of Work & Specifications

This Purchase Order is issued by Chimanimani Medical Laboratories (Pty) Ltd for the engagement of qualified Laboratory Technician personnel to support the clinical diagnostics operations at our primary facility located in Zimbabwe Harare. The Laboratory Technician(s) engaged under this Purchase Order shall be responsible for, but not limited to: the receipt, logging, and processing of clinical specimens (blood, urine, tissue, and body fluids); the operation and maintenance of automated analysers including haematology, biochemistry, and coagulation platforms; the performance of quality assurance and quality control procedures in line with the Zimbabwe National Standards Authority (ZANAS) and the Medical Laboratory Technicians Council of Zimbabwe (MLTCZ) guidelines; the preparation and issuance of accurate diagnostic reports; the maintenance of a safe and compliant laboratory environment in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of Zimbabwe; and the management of laboratory inventory, reagents, and consumables. The Laboratory Technician must demonstrate proficiency in both manual and automated diagnostic techniques and must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team at the Zimbabwe Harare facility.

Terms and Conditions
  1. This Purchase Order is subject to the laws of the Republic of Zimbabwe and shall be governed by the Zimbabwean Commercial Law. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Zimbabwe Harare in accordance with the Arbitration Act [Chapter 7:15] of Zimbabwe.
  2. The supplier, MedStaff Solutions Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd, warrants that the Laboratory Technician(s) provided under this Purchase Order shall hold valid professional registration with the Medical Laboratory Technicians Council of Zimbabwe and shall maintain such registration throughout the contract period.
  3. All services rendered by the Laboratory Technician at the Zimbabwe Harare facility shall comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Environmental Management Act, and all applicable biosafety regulations enforced by the Zimbabwe National Biomedical Research Council.
  4. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice from the supplier. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 2% per month, in accordance with Zimbabwean commercial practice.
  5. The supplier shall provide a replacement Laboratory Technician within five (5) working days should the initially assigned Laboratory Technician become unavailable due to illness, resignation, or any other cause. The replacement must meet the same qualification and registration requirements specified in this Purchase Order.
  6. This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, all completed services up to the termination date shall be invoiced and paid in full.
  7. The supplier shall indemnify Chimanimani Medical Laboratories (Pty) Ltd against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from the negligence, misconduct, or professional malpractice of the Laboratory Technician while performing duties at the Zimbabwe Harare facility.
  8. All personal data processed by the Laboratory Technician in the course of this engagement shall be handled in strict compliance with the Data Protection Act [Chapter 10:27] of Zimbabwe.
  9. This Purchase Order is valid for acceptance within fourteen (14) days of the date of issue. Failure to accept within this period shall render this Purchase Order null and void.
  10. Any amendments to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both parties. Verbal modifications shall not be binding.
Acceptance & Authorisation

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order for the engagement of Laboratory Technician services at the Zimbabwe Harare facility.
