This Purchase Order is issued by the Karachi Institute of Advanced Computational Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute") to Apex Mathematical Consulting (Pvt.) Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider") for the procurement of specialized Mathematician services to be rendered in Pakistan Karachi. The Mathematician engaged under this Purchase Order shall provide expert-level mathematical analysis, modeling, and research support to the Institute's ongoing computational physics and data science programs.
The Mathematician shall be a qualified professional holding a minimum of a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative discipline, with a minimum of eight (8) years of post-doctoral professional experience. The Mathematician must demonstrate proven expertise in numerical analysis, stochastic modeling, differential equations, optimization theory, and statistical inference. All services under this Purchase Order shall be physically performed at the Institute's premises located in Pakistan Karachi, with the Mathematician maintaining a minimum on-site presence of five (5) working days per week.

- Governing Jurisdiction: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Pakistan Karachi in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1940 of Pakistan.
- Commencement: The Mathematician shall commence all services no later than 01 July 2025. Failure to commence within the stipulated period shall entitle the Institute to terminate this Purchase Order without penalty.
- Performance Standards: The Mathematician shall adhere to the highest standards of mathematical rigor. All proofs, derivations, and models delivered under this Purchase Order must be free of material mathematical error. The Institute reserves the right to request revisions at no additional cost.
- Intellectual Property: All mathematical work, models, algorithms, and publications created by the Mathematician in the course of this Purchase Order shall be the sole intellectual property of the Karachi Institute of Advanced Computational Sciences. The Mathematician shall sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to commencement.
- Payment Schedule: Payments shall be made in monthly installments within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice. The Provider shall submit invoices to the Institute's accounts department in Pakistan Karachi. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as per Pakistani commercial law.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of material breach by the Mathematician, the Institute may terminate immediately upon written notice. All work completed prior to termination shall be compensated pro-rata.
- Compliance: The Mathematician shall comply with all applicable Pakistani labor laws, tax obligations, and institutional policies. The Provider is responsible for all statutory deductions including income tax, social security contributions, and any applicable levies mandated by the Sindh Provincial Government or the Federal Government of Pakistan.
- Work Location: All services under this Purchase Order shall be performed at the Institute's primary facility in Pakistan Karachi. Remote work is not permitted without prior written approval from the Institute's Director of Research.
- Confidentiality: The Mathematician shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all data, research findings, and proprietary information accessed during the engagement. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed lockdowns in Pakistan Karachi, or acts of war.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement for the procurement of Mathematician services in Pakistan Karachi. The terms set forth herein supersede all prior negotiations, correspondence, and understandings between the parties.
