This Purchase Order is issued by Islamabad Industrial Development Corporation for the procurement of qualified Mechanical Engineer professional services to be rendered in Pakistan Islamabad. The Mechanical Engineer shall provide comprehensive design, analysis, supervision, and technical consultancy services for the Islamabad Water Treatment Plant Expansion project. 1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order related to the Mechanical Engineer services in Pakistan Islamabad shall be resolved through arbitration in Islamabad under the Arbitration Act, 1940 of Pakistan.
2. Professional Qualification: The Mechanical Engineer assigned to this Purchase Order must hold a valid license issued by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and possess a minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in mechanical engineering within Pakistan. The Mechanical Engineer must be a registered member of the Institution of Engineers, Pakistan (IEP).
3. Site Access: The Mechanical Engineer shall have full access to all project sites located within the Islamabad Capital Territory. The Mechanical Engineer is required to report to the IIDC project office at Blue Area, Islamabad, no later than 09:00 AM on each working day (Monday through Friday, in accordance with the Pakistan government working schedule).
4. Payment Schedule: Payment for the Mechanical Engineer services shall be made in monthly installments. The Mechanical Engineer shall submit a detailed timesheet and progress report to the IIDC procurement department in Islamabad by the 5th of each month. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) calendar days via bank transfer to the account specified by Al-Karam Engineering Consultants.
5. Deliverables: The Mechanical Engineer shall deliver all design drawings, calculation reports, and technical documentation in both hard copy (three sets) and digital format (PDF and editable CAD files). All deliverables must be stamped and signed by the licensed Mechanical Engineer and submitted to the IIDC office in Islamabad.
6. Insurance and Liability: The Mechanical Engineer and the service provider shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of PKR 20,000,000, valid throughout the duration of this Purchase Order in Pakistan Islamabad. The service provider shall indemnify the IIDC against any claims arising from negligence or professional misconduct by the Mechanical Engineer.
7. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Mechanical Engineer shall complete all ongoing deliverables and submit a final handover report to the IIDC in Islamabad.
8. Tax Compliance: All payments under this Purchase Order are subject to withholding tax as per the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 of Pakistan. The service provider shall provide a valid Sales Tax Registration Number (STRN) for the Islamabad jurisdiction.
9. Confidentiality: The Mechanical Engineer shall treat all project data, design documents, and operational information pertaining to the Islamabad Water Treatment Plant as strictly confidential and shall not disclose such information to any third party without written consent from the IIDC.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order for the procurement of Mechanical Engineer services in Pakistan Islamabad. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the parties upon execution.
