1. Description of Services – Mechanical Engineer Engagement
This Purchase Order is issued by Karachi Industrial Engineering Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd. to formally engage the services of a qualified Mechanical Engineer for the design, supervision, and technical oversight of mechanical systems within the Korangi Industrial Zone, Pakistan Karachi. The Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible for all aspects of mechanical engineering consultancy, including but not limited to thermal system design, HVAC engineering, piping layout, structural analysis of mechanical components, and compliance with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) standards and local municipal regulations applicable in Pakistan Karachi.

3. Terms and Conditions
- Qualification Requirement: The Mechanical Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and possess a minimum of eight (8) years of post-qualification experience in mechanical engineering within Pakistan Karachi or equivalent industrial zones.
- Commencement Date: The Mechanical Engineer shall commence all services no later than 25 June 2025 at the designated project site located in the Korangi Industrial Area, Pakistan Karachi. Any delay in commencement shall be subject to a penalty of PKR 5,000 per calendar day.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in three (3) equal installments: 30% upon acceptance of this Purchase Order, 40% upon completion of design deliverables (Items 01, 02, and 04), and 30% upon final commissioning and handover of all documentation. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account specified by the Mechanical Engineer.
- Applicable Law and Jurisdiction: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pakistan Karachi, Sindh Province.
- Compliance with Local Regulations: The Mechanical Engineer shall ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (PEPA), and the Pakistan Engineering Council. All mechanical engineering work shall adhere to the Pakistan Standard (PS) codes and British Standards (BS) as adopted in Pakistan Karachi.
- Insurance and Liability: The Mechanical Engineer shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of not less than PKR 10,000,000 for the duration of the engagement. The Mechanical Engineer shall be solely liable for any errors, omissions, or negligence in the mechanical engineering design or supervision that may result in damage to property, injury to persons, or environmental harm within the Pakistan Karachi project site.
- Confidentiality: All technical drawings, calculations, proprietary data, and project information shared under this Purchase Order shall be treated as strictly confidential. The Mechanical Engineer shall not disclose any project details to third parties without prior written consent from Karachi Industrial Engineering Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with fourteen (14) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Mechanical Engineer shall be compensated for all work satisfactorily completed up to the date of termination, less any applicable penalties.
- Subcontracting: The Mechanical Engineer shall not subcontract any portion of the mechanical engineering services without prior written approval from the issuing company. Any approved subcontractor shall be bound by the same terms and conditions as stated in this Purchase Order.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions in Pakistan Karachi, or acts of war, provided that the affected party notifies the other within 48 hours of the occurrence.
4. Acceptance and Authorization
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Mechanical Engineer in Pakistan Karachi. This document constitutes a binding agreement between the parties upon execution.
