2. Scope of Engagement — Meteorologist ServicesThis Purchase Order is issued by Queensland Coastal Infrastructure Group Pty Ltd to formally engage the services of a qualified Meteorologist for the provision of atmospheric data analysis, weather forecasting, and climate risk assessment services. All services under this Purchase Order shall be delivered and performed within the metropolitan and regional areas of Australia Brisbane, including the surrounding coastal zones, the Moreton Bay region, and the hinterland areas up to a 150-kilometre radius from the Brisbane central business district. The Meteorologist shall operate in accordance with the standards set by the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (AMOS) and shall comply with all applicable regulations under the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) framework.

- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Purchasing Entity and the Meteorologist service provider upon signature by both parties. All terms are governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia Brisbane jurisdiction.
- The Meteorologist shall maintain valid professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of AUD $5,000,000 and public liability insurance of AUD $10,000,000 throughout the duration of this engagement in Australia Brisbane.
- All meteorological data, forecasts, and reports produced under this Purchase Order shall be the intellectual property of Queensland Coastal Infrastructure Group Pty Ltd upon full payment. The Meteorologist retains the right to reference the engagement in professional portfolios with prior written consent.
- Payment terms: 50% of the total Purchase Order value shall be due upon execution of this document, and the remaining 50% shall be payable within 30 days of completion of all deliverables and submission of the final climate impact assessment report.
- The Meteorologist is required to provide a minimum of 48 hours' written notice for any cancellation or rescheduling of on-site visits within the Australia Brisbane service area. Failure to comply may result in a 15% penalty on the affected line item.
- All services must comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld). Any meteorological data collected from residents or private properties in Australia Brisbane must be handled in strict accordance with these legislative frameworks.
- The Meteorologist shall provide a written progress report to the Procurement Director every 14 days detailing completed tasks, upcoming forecasts, and any anomalies detected in the atmospheric data relevant to the Brisbane region.
- This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with 14 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Meteorologist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, pro-rated accordingly.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Australia Brisbane before proceeding to litigation in the Queensland Courts.
The Meteorologist shall commence services on 1 July 2025 and shall complete all deliverables no later than 31 December 2025. All on-site work within Australia Brisbane shall be conducted between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 AEST, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise agreed in writing for emergency weather response events. The Meteorologist shall coordinate all site access through the Queensland Coastal Infrastructure Group site safety officer located at the primary Brisbane operations centre.
