- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Nigerian Meteorological Agency, Nigeria Abuja office, and the named Meteorologist vendor. All terms herein shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- The Meteorologist shall commence all services no later than 1 July 2025 and shall maintain continuous availability for the duration specified in this Purchase Order.
- All forecasts, analyses, and advisory products produced by the Meteorologist under this Purchase Order shall be delivered to the Nigeria Abuja NiMet headquarters in both digital (PDF and CSV) and printed formats within 24 hours of the observation cycle.
- Payment shall be made in quarterly installments of NGN 3,240,000 (three million, two hundred and forty thousand Naira) within 30 days of the end of each quarter, subject to satisfactory performance review by the Nigeria Abuja procurement committee.
- The Meteorologist shall comply with all data protection regulations as stipulated by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and shall not disclose sensitive atmospheric data to unauthorized third parties.
- Any amendment to this Purchase Order must be documented in writing and signed by both parties. Verbal modifications shall not be recognized by the Nigeria Abuja procurement office.
- The Meteorologist shall carry professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of NGN 50,000,000 for the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Failure by the Meteorologist to deliver any scheduled output within 48 hours of the due date without prior written notice to the Nigeria Abuja project manager shall result in a penalty of 2% of the affected line-item value per day of delay.
- This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Meteorologist shall be compensated only for services rendered up to the termination date.
- All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Nigeria Abuja in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Cap A18, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
The Meteorologist shall report to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency headquarters at Plot 1054, Area 14, Garki, Nigeria Abuja on 1 July 2025 at 08:00 hours to commence onboarding and orientation. All subsequent deliverables shall be submitted to the same location or via the secure NiMet digital portal as directed by the Nigeria Abuja project coordinator.
