OF SERVICESThis Purchase Order is issued by the Abu Dhabi Municipal Authority to engage the services of a qualified Meteorologist and associated meteorological support team for a period of twelve (12) months, commencing 1 August 2025 and concluding 31 July 2026. The Meteorologist shall provide comprehensive weather forecasting, severe weather advisory, climate data analysis, and public safety meteorological briefings specifically tailored to the geographic and climatic conditions of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi region, including the coastal, desert, and urban microclimates.

All payments under this Purchase Order shall be made in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) via bank transfer to the account designated by the Seller. Invoices shall be submitted monthly by the 5th business day following the end of each calendar month. Payment shall be processed within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid invoice. A late payment penalty of 1.5% per month shall apply in accordance with the UAE Commercial Transactions Law. All amounts are exclusive of 5% Value Added Tax (VAT) as mandated by the Federal Tax Authority of the United Arab Emirates.
4. TERMS AND CONDITIONS- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the specific regulations of Abu Dhabi. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the Abu Dhabi Courts of Justice.
- The Meteorologist engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a valid professional license issued by the Abu Dhabi Department of Health or the relevant UAE regulatory authority, and must possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in tropical and arid-climate meteorology.
- The Seller shall ensure that all meteorological data, forecasts, and advisory reports are delivered in both Arabic and English to comply with the official language requirements of the United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi government.
- The Meteorologist shall comply with all data protection and confidentiality obligations under the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
- The Buyer reserves the right to audit the Meteorologist's work products, data sources, and methodology at any reasonable time during the contract period.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of termination, the Seller shall be compensated for services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
- All intellectual property generated specifically for the Abu Dhabi Municipal Authority under this Purchase Order shall remain the property of the Buyer upon full payment.
- The Seller shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of AED 2,000,000, valid throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to extreme weather events that render the Meteorologist unable to perform, shall be addressed through mutual consultation in accordance with UAE civil law principles.
Services shall commence on 1 August 2025 at the Abu Dhabi Municipal Authority headquarters located in Al Markaziyah District, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Meteorologist shall report to the Director of Environmental Affairs and shall maintain a minimum on-site presence of five (5) days per week at the designated Abu Dhabi facility, with remote monitoring and forecasting available on a 24/7 basis.
