The Occupational Therapist engaged under this Purchase Order must satisfy the following mandatory criteria as stipulated by the Department of Health — Abu Dhabi (DoH-AD) and the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an institution recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
- Valid professional license issued by the Department of Health — Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with no disciplinary actions or suspensions on record.
- A minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification clinical experience in pediatric and adult occupational therapy, with at least two (2) years of experience gained within the United Arab Emirates or a comparable GCC healthcare system.
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic to ensure effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in the Abu Dhabi healthcare environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications valid throughout the contract period.
- A clean Emirates ID and valid residence visa or eligibility for a UAE work permit sponsored by the purchasing entity.
- Payment shall be made in United Arab Emirates Dirhams (AED) via bank transfer to the account designated by the service provider.
- Monthly professional fees for the Occupational Therapist (Item 01 and 02) shall be invoiced on the 1st of each month and are payable within thirty (30) calendar days of invoice receipt.
- One-time deliverables (Items 03 and 04) shall be invoiced upon acceptance and sign-off by the facility's Clinical Director in Abu Dhabi.
- A 5% retention shall be withheld from each monthly payment and released upon successful completion of the full twelve-month contract term, subject to satisfactory performance evaluation.
- Late payments shall attract a penalty of 1.5% per month, in accordance with UAE commercial law and the terms of this Purchase Order.
The service provider and the Occupational Therapist shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and directives of the United Arab Emirates, including but not limited to the Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, the UAE Labour Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021), and all clinical practice standards enforced by the Department of Health — Abu Dhabi. All patient records and clinical data generated in Abu Dhabi shall be stored in accordance with UAE data protection regulations and shall not be transferred outside the United Arab Emirates without explicit written consent from the purchasing entity.
Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of sixty (60) days. In the event of a material breach by the Occupational Therapist or the service provider, the purchasing entity reserves the right to terminate immediately upon written notice. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through amicable negotiation first, and failing that, through arbitration in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in accordance with the rules of the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Arbitration Centre. The governing law shall be the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
This Purchase Order becomes effective upon signature by both authorized representatives. By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this document regarding the procurement of Occupational Therapist services in United Arab Emirates Abu Dhabi.
