This Purchase Order is issued by the Deep Ocean Research & Marine Technology Institute, headquartered in India Bangalore, to procure specialized oceanographic research equipment, calibration instruments, and technical support services. The primary objective of this procurement is to equip our resident Oceanographer, Dr. Arjun Nair, with the necessary tools and instrumentation required for the upcoming monsoon-season deep-sea data collection campaign along the western coast of India. The Oceanographer will be conducting hydrographic surveys, water column profiling, and benthic ecosystem assessments as part of the National Oceanic Research Programme funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. All equipment specified in this Purchase Order must meet or exceed the standards prescribed by the Indian Standards Institution (ISI) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for marine scientific instrumentation.

- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between DORMTI, India Bangalore, and Pacific Marine Instruments Pvt. Ltd. upon written acceptance by both parties. The supplier must sign and return a copy of this Purchase Order within five (5) business days of receipt.
- All equipment must be delivered to the DORMTI facility in Whitefield, India Bangalore, no later than 30 July 2025. Late delivery shall attract a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.
- The Oceanographer designated as the technical recipient, Dr. Arjun Nair, shall conduct a 72-hour acceptance test upon delivery. Any equipment found defective, miscalibrated, or non-conforming to the specifications listed in this Purchase Order shall be replaced at the supplier's sole expense within fourteen (14) days.
- Payment of 50% advance (₹ 19,42,500.00) shall be made via RTGS/NEFT to the supplier's designated bank account within seven (7) days of Purchase Order acceptance. The remaining 50% balance (₹ 19,42,500.00) shall be released within fifteen (15) days of successful acceptance testing by the Oceanographer and the DORMTI Quality Assurance Committee in India Bangalore.
- The supplier warrants that all instruments are new, unused, and carry a minimum manufacturer's warranty of two (2) years from the date of delivery. The annual calibration service (Item 6) is included in the warranty period and shall be performed at the India Bangalore facility.
- All intellectual property rights associated with the Oceanographer Pro Suite software license (Item 5) remain with the licensor. DORMTI is granted a non-transferable, single-site license for use exclusively at its India Bangalore premises.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India Bangalore, Karnataka.
- The supplier shall provide a detailed packing list, certificate of calibration, user manuals in English, and all relevant compliance certificates (ISI, CE, or equivalent) along with the shipment to India Bangalore.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or port closures, shall exempt either party from liability for delayed performance, provided written notice is given within 48 hours of the event.
By signing below, both parties confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in this Purchase Order. The Oceanographer and the DORMTI administration in India Bangalore hereby authorize the procurement of the items and services listed herein for the purpose of advancing India's marine scientific research capabilities.
