The Physicist shall be responsible for the following scope of work as outlined in this Purchase Order:

• Conducting advanced spectroscopic analysis and calibration of photonics equipment procured under separate Purchase Order PO-EGY-ALX-2025-0041.
• Providing weekly research mentorship to a cohort of twelve (12) graduate students in the Department of Applied Physics.
• Authoring and co-authoring a minimum of two (2) peer-reviewed research papers in internationally recognized physics journals during the contract period.
• Delivering a comprehensive technical report on the feasibility of integrating photonic computing modules into the university's existing computational infrastructure.
• Participating in at least three (3) academic conferences or seminars held in Egypt Alexandria or the broader Egyptian academic circuit during the engagement period.

Payment shall be made in three (3) equal installments via bank transfer to the Physicist's designated account at the National Bank of Egypt, Alexandria Branch. The first installment of 83,790.00 EGP is due upon execution of this Purchase Order. The second installment of 83,790.00 EGP is due at the midpoint of the six-month engagement. The final installment of 83,790.00 EGP is due upon satisfactory completion and acceptance of all deliverables specified herein. All payments are subject to the standard 30-day net payment terms as governed by Egyptian commercial law.

1. This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, including but not limited to the Egyptian Civil Code and the Egyptian Tax Code applicable in Egypt Alexandria.
2. The Physicist warrants that all professional services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be performed with the degree of skill, care, and diligence expected of a senior academic physicist in the field of quantum optics and photonics.
3. All intellectual property, research data, and technical documentation produced by the Physicist during the term of this Purchase Order shall be jointly owned by the Physicist and Alexandria University, with specific ownership terms to be detailed in a supplementary Intellectual Property Agreement.
4. The Physicist shall comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to laboratory work in Egypt Alexandria, including those issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and the Alexandria Governorate.
5. Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of termination, the Physicist shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, and the Purchasing Entity shall retain all completed deliverables.
6. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through amicable negotiation. Should negotiation fail, the matter shall be submitted to the competent courts of Egypt Alexandria for adjudication.
7. This Purchase Order does not create an employer-employee relationship. The Physicist is engaged as an independent professional contractor and is solely responsible for all applicable social insurance and tax obligations in Egypt Alexandria.

All deliverables specified in this Purchase Order shall be submitted to the Procurement Office of Alexandria University, located in the Faculty of Science building, Smouha District, Egypt Alexandria. The Purchasing Entity shall have a period of fifteen (15) business days from the date of submission to review and accept or reject each deliverable. Rejection must be accompanied by a written statement specifying the deficiencies. The Physicist shall have ten (10) business days to address any noted deficiencies and resubmit the deliverable for re-evaluation.
