Purpose and Justification

This Purchase Order has been issued by the Department of Applied Sciences, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India, to procure essential laboratory equipment, research instruments, and academic materials specifically designated for the use of Professor Dr. Ananya Sharma and her research team. The items listed above are critical for the continuation of the Professor's funded research projects under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, as well as for the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate coursework in the academic year 2025–2026. The Professor has submitted a detailed justification report dated 28th May 2025, outlining the necessity of each item for maintaining the laboratory's operational standards and ensuring the safety and productivity of the research group based in New Delhi.

Terms and Conditions

1. This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Republic of India and shall be interpreted in accordance with the Indian Contract Act, 1872, and applicable GST regulations of India New Delhi.

2. The supplier shall deliver all items to the Professor's designated laboratory at the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India, no later than the required delivery date specified above. Late delivery shall attract a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.

3. All equipment must carry a minimum warranty of two (2) years from the date of installation and commissioning at the Professor's laboratory in New Delhi. The warranty shall cover all manufacturing defects and shall include on-site service within 48 hours of a service request.

4. Payment shall be processed via RTGS/NEFT to the supplier's designated bank account in India New Delhi within thirty (30) days of receipt of a valid tax invoice and satisfactory delivery confirmation signed by the Professor or her authorized representative.

5. The supplier is required to provide comprehensive installation, calibration, and hands-on training for the Professor and her laboratory staff at the University of Delhi premises. Training sessions shall be conducted in English and Hindi to accommodate all members of the research team.

6. All items must comply with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and relevant safety regulations applicable in India. The supplier shall provide all necessary certificates of conformity, test reports, and import documentation where applicable.

7. This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement between the Professor's department and the supplier. Any changes in scope, quantity, or delivery schedule must be documented in a formal amendment letter referencing this Purchase Order number.

8. Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in New Delhi, India, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Authorization and Approval

This Purchase Order is authorized and approved by the undersigned on behalf of the University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. The Professor has reviewed and endorsed the itemized list, and the Departmental Head has verified the budgetary allocation from the approved research grant.
