Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order

1. This Purchase Order is issued by Professor Dr. Ahmed Raza Siddiqui, Professor of Computational Physics, University of Karachi, in accordance with the University's procurement policy and the Government of Pakistan's Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) guidelines applicable to academic institutions.
2. All goods shall be delivered to the designated laboratory at the University of Karachi, Item Karsaz Road, Karachi-75270, Sindh, Pakistan, no later than 30 June 2025. Late delivery shall attract a penalty of 0.5% of the total Purchase Order value per day of delay, up to a maximum of 10%.
3. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the supplier's designated account in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice and confirmed delivery at the University of Karachi campus. The supplier must provide a Sales Tax Invoice compliant with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan.
4. All imported equipment must be accompanied by valid customs clearance documents, import permits, and conformity certificates as required by the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) and the State Bank of Pakistan.
5. The supplier warrants that all equipment is new, unused, and free from defects. A minimum two-year warranty is included. Any defective items discovered within the warranty period shall be repaired or replaced at the supplier's sole cost within Karachi, Pakistan, or at the nearest authorized service center.
6. This Purchase Order is subject to the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1940 of Pakistan.
7. The Professor, as the authorized signatory for this Purchase Order, confirms that the funds have been allocated from the University of Karachi's Research Development Grant (FY 2025-26) and that all necessary internal approvals from the Head of Department and the University Finance Office have been obtained.
8. The supplier shall provide on-site installation and a minimum of eight (8) hours of hands-on training for the Professor's research team at the University of Karachi laboratory. Training materials in English shall be provided.
9. This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement signed by both the Professor (or his authorized representative) and the supplier's authorized signatory. No verbal modifications shall be binding.
10. The supplier agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding the research applications of the equipment purchased under this Purchase Order and shall not disclose the nature of the Professor's research to any third party without written consent.
