01 Robotics Engineer – Senior Level (Full-Time Contract)
Provision of a qualified Robotics Engineer to design, develop, and commission industrial robotic systems for the advanced manufacturing facility located in United Kingdom Birmingham. The Robotics Engineer shall be responsible for the full lifecycle of robotic cell integration, including mechanical design, PLC programming, end-effector selection, safety compliance (UKCA/CE), and on-site commissioning.

02 Robotics Engineer – Specialist Support (Part-Time, 0.5 FTE)
Additional Robotics Engineer support for simulation modelling (RobotStudio / ROS2), FEA analysis of robotic arm payloads, and documentation of standard operating procedures. This Robotics Engineer will operate from the United Kingdom Birmingham site three days per week with remote availability for the remaining two days.

03 Onboarding, Training & Compliance Package
Initial site induction, UK health and safety training, UKCA/CE certification support, and access to proprietary robotics software licences (KUKA, ABB, FANUC) for the Robotics Engineer team. Includes provision of PPE, access badges, and secure workstation setup at the United Kingdom Birmingham facility.

04 Performance Review & Extension Option
Quarterly performance assessment of the Robotics Engineer deliverables against KPIs (uptime, cycle-time reduction, defect rate). Includes a mutual option to extend the contract by up to 6 additional months at the same unit rate, subject to satisfactory performance in the United Kingdom Birmingham operational environment.

This Purchase Order authorises the procurement of Robotics Engineer professional services to be delivered at the Meridian Industrial Solutions facility in United Kingdom Birmingham. The appointed Robotics Engineer(s) shall report directly to the Head of Advanced Manufacturing and shall be embedded within the existing automation team. Key deliverables include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and integration of up to six (6) new robotic work cells for the automotive components production line in United Kingdom Birmingham.
  • Programming, parameterisation, and safety validation of all robotic systems in accordance with UK Machinery Regulations 2008 and ISO 10218-1/2 standards.
  • Development of digital twin models and simulation workflows to optimise cycle times and reduce unplanned downtime by a minimum of 15% within the first six months.
  • Preparation of comprehensive technical documentation, including as-built drawings, PLC ladder logic, HMI configurations, and maintenance schedules for the Robotics Engineer handover to the in-house maintenance team.
  • Collaboration with the supplier's engineering team to resolve any integration issues arising from third-party peripheral equipment (conveyors, vision systems, collaborative robots).
  1. Governing Law: This Purchase Order and all associated services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom Birmingham region.
  2. Payment Terms: Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) calendar days of receipt of a valid invoice via BACS transfer to the supplier's nominated bank account. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate per annum.
  3. Confidentiality: The Robotics Engineer(s) shall be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) covering all proprietary manufacturing processes, product designs, and operational data encountered during their tenure at the United Kingdom Birmingham site. This obligation shall survive termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
  4. Insurance: The supplier shall maintain, at its own cost, professional indemnity insurance of no less than £5,000,000 and public liability insurance of no less than £10,000,000 for the duration of the contract. Certificates of insurance shall be provided prior to the commencement date.
  5. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the supplier shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination, plus reasonable costs associated with the orderly transition of the Robotics Engineer role.
  6. Health & Safety: The Robotics Engineer(s) shall comply with all site-specific health and safety policies of Meridian Industrial Solutions Ltd. in United Kingdom Birmingham, including mandatory PPE, risk assessments, and toolbox talks. The supplier shall ensure all personnel hold valid UK right-to-work documentation.
  7. Intellectual Property: All work product, designs, code, and documentation created by the Robotics Engineer(s) in the course of fulfilling this Purchase Order shall be the sole and exclusive property of Meridian Industrial Solutions Ltd. upon full payment.
  8. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to industrial action, natural disasters, or government-imposed restrictions affecting operations in the United Kingdom Birmingham area.

This Purchase Order is issued and authorised by the undersigned on behalf of Meridian Industrial Solutions Ltd. The supplier is requested to confirm acceptance of all terms, conditions, and the scope of work described herein by signing and returning a copy of this document within five (5) business days of the date of issue.
