This Purchase Order is issued by Apex Industrial Solutions Ltd. to procure the services of a qualified Robotics Engineer to be deployed at our primary manufacturing and automation facility located in United Kingdom Manchester. The Robotics Engineer shall be responsible for the design, development, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of industrial robotic systems, collaborative robot (cobot) workstations, and automated guided vehicle (AGV) networks that support our production lines. The role requires a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience in industrial robotics, with specific expertise in KUKA, ABB, FANUC, and Universal Robots platforms. The Robotics Engineer will report directly to the Head of Automation and will work full-time (37.5 hours per week) on-site at our United Kingdom Manchester premises, with occasional travel to client sites within the Greater Manchester and North West England region as required.

The Robotics Engineer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties at the United Kingdom Manchester facility:
- Design and programme industrial robotic cells for pick-and-place, welding, palletising, and quality inspection applications.
- Commission and integrate collaborative robots (cobots) into existing production workflows, ensuring compliance with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and ISO 10218 / ISO/TS 15066 standards.
- Develop and maintain PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems interfacing with robotic platforms.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for robotic system failures, minimising unplanned downtime.
- Prepare technical documentation, including as-built drawings, wiring schematics, and operational manuals for all robotic installations.
- Collaborate with the production engineering team to identify automation opportunities and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships with robotic system integrators and component suppliers based in the United Kingdom and EU.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians within the United Kingdom Manchester engineering department.
- This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom Manchester.
- Payment terms: Net 30 days from receipt of a valid invoice. Invoices shall be submitted monthly in arrears. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate per annum, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- The Robotics Engineer shall be engaged as a contractor through NorthWest Technical Staffing Partners Ltd. and shall not be deemed an employee of Apex Industrial Solutions Ltd. The supplier is responsible for all statutory deductions, pension contributions, and employer's National Insurance contributions.
- Confidentiality: The Robotics Engineer shall be bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) covering all proprietary processes, product designs, and operational data encountered at the United Kingdom Manchester facility. This obligation shall survive termination of this Purchase Order for a period of three (3) years.
- Insurance: The supplier shall maintain Professional Indemnity Insurance of no less than £5,000,000 and Public Liability Insurance of no less than £10,000,000 for the duration of the contract.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of material breach, termination may be effected with seven (7) days' notice. Upon termination, all work in progress shall be completed and documented to a satisfactory standard.
- Health and Safety: The Robotics Engineer shall comply with all applicable UK health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
- Intellectual Property: All work product, designs, programmes, and documentation created by the Robotics Engineer in the course of performing duties under this Purchase Order shall be the sole intellectual property of Apex Industrial Solutions Ltd.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, industrial action, or government-imposed restrictions.
This Purchase Order becomes binding upon written acceptance by the supplier. The supplier is requested to confirm acceptance and the availability of a suitably qualified Robotics Engineer for the United Kingdom Manchester deployment no later than 26 June 2025.
