3. Description of Purchase Order Scope
This Purchase Order is issued by Yangon International Academy to formally engage the services of a qualified School Counselor for the academic year 2025–2026. The School Counselor shall provide comprehensive student support services, psychological assessments, career guidance, conflict mediation, and mental health interventions to all students enrolled at the institution located in Myanmar Yangon. This Purchase Order governs the professional relationship, compensation structure, and operational expectations between the Academy and the School Counselor throughout the contracted period.

All amounts are stated in Myanmar Kyat (MMK). Applicable withholding tax under Myanmar Revenue Law 2011 shall be deducted at source as per statutory requirements.
5. Terms and Conditions
- Acceptance: This Purchase Order shall become binding upon written acceptance by the School Counselor within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of issue. The School Counselor must sign and return a copy of this document to the Yangon International Academy procurement office in Myanmar Yangon.
- Commencement: The School Counselor shall report for duty no later than 1 April 2025 at the Yangon International Academy premises, Kyauktada Township, Yangon. Failure to commence within five (5) working days without written justification shall constitute grounds for cancellation of this Purchase Order.
- Working Hours: The School Counselor shall work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Myanmar Standard Time (MST, UTC+6:30), with a one-hour lunch break. Additional hours for parent meetings or emergency interventions shall be compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate.
- Confidentiality: The School Counselor shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student records, psychological assessments, and personal information in accordance with Myanmar's Data Protection Law and the Academy's internal privacy policy. All counseling records shall be stored in the secure counseling office at the Myanmar Yangon campus.
- Performance Standards: The School Counselor is expected to maintain a minimum student-to-counselor ratio of 1:150, conduct monthly progress reports to the Academy's Academic Board, and participate in all staff meetings held at the Yangon campus.
- Payment Schedule: Monthly compensation shall be disbursed via bank transfer to the School Counselor's designated Myanmar bank account by the 5th of each subsequent month. The first payment shall be processed within thirty (30) days of the commencement date.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days written notice. The Academy may terminate immediately for gross misconduct, loss of Myanmar Counseling Board license, or breach of confidentiality obligations.
- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Any disputes shall be resolved through the Yangon District Court or by mutual arbitration in Yangon, Myanmar.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to natural disasters, government-mandated closures, or public health emergencies affecting the Myanmar Yangon region, provided written notice is given within 48 hours.
- Amendments: Any modification to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both the Academy's Director of Human Resources and the School Counselor. Verbal agreements shall hold no legal standing.
6. Deliverables and Reporting
The School Counselor shall submit the following deliverables to the Yangon International Academy administration:
(a) Monthly counseling activity reports detailing number of sessions conducted, categories of issues addressed, and follow-up actions required;
(b) Quarterly student well-being assessment summaries for the Myanmar Yangon student body;
(c) An end-of-year comprehensive report covering all counseling services rendered, outcomes achieved, and recommendations for the subsequent academic year;
(d) Immediate incident reports for any critical student mental health events, to be filed within 24 hours of occurrence.
