The Special Education Teacher shall be responsible for designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), conducting sensory integration therapy sessions, developing assistive technology integration strategies, and collaborating with general education faculty to ensure inclusive classroom practices throughout the academic year 2025-2026.

The Special Education Teacher engaged under this Purchase Order must satisfy the following mandatory criteria as per the regulations of the Karnataka State Education Board and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, applicable in India Bangalore:
(a) A Master's degree in Special Education (M.Ed. Special Education) from a UGC-recognized university in India, or an equivalent qualification from a foreign institution recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
(b) A valid B.Ed. or M.Ed. with specialization in Special Education, along with a minimum of five (5) years of documented teaching experience in inclusive or special education settings.
(c) Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Sensory Integration Therapy, or any recognized therapeutic modality from an accredited institution.
(d) Proficiency in English and Kannada languages to effectively communicate with students, parents, and administrative staff in the India Bangalore region.
(e) A valid police clearance certificate and a non-criminal background verification as mandated for all educational professionals in Karnataka state, India Bangalore.
(f) Demonstrated experience in using assistive and adaptive technologies, including but not limited to AAC devices, screen readers, and specialized learning management systems.
5. TERMS AND CONDITIONS5.1 This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the Karnataka State Education Act and applicable central government regulations pertaining to special education services in India Bangalore.
5.2 The Special Education Teacher shall report to the Director of Inclusive Education at Sunrise Inclusive Academy, India Bangalore, on all working days from 08:30 AM to 04:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, excluding public holidays as declared by the Government of Karnataka.
5.3 Payment shall be made on a monthly basis via bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS) within fifteen (15) days of the end of each calendar month, subject to satisfactory performance evaluation by the institution's academic committee.
5.4 The Special Education Teacher shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student records, IEPs, and personal information in compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the data protection norms applicable in India Bangalore.
5.5 Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of termination, all outstanding payments for services rendered up to the date of termination shall be settled within fifteen (15) days.
5.6 The Special Education Teacher shall be required to attend all staff development programs, parent-teacher meetings, and annual review conferences organized by the institution in India Bangalore.
5.7 All intellectual property, including IEPs, curriculum materials, and assessment tools developed during the tenure of this engagement, shall remain the property of Sunrise Inclusive Academy, India Bangalore.
5.8 Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in India Bangalore, Karnataka.
6. DELIVERY AND COMMENCEMENTThe Special Education Teacher shall commence duties on or before 1 July 2025 at the Sunrise Inclusive Academy campus, 42, 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar, India Bangalore, Karnataka 560038. All onboarding procedures, including orientation, access card issuance, and system credential setup, shall be completed within the first five working days.
