This Purchase Order is issued by the Cape Town Integrated Special Education Centre for the procurement of qualified Special Education Teacher services to be rendered at our facility located in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. The Special Education Teacher shall be responsible for the design, implementation, and delivery of individualised education programmes for learners with diverse special educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, sensory impairments, and specific learning difficulties.

The Special Education Teacher must hold a valid South African Council for Educators (SACE) registration, a Bachelor of Education (Special Education) degree from a recognised South African institution, and a minimum of five (5) years of documented experience in special education within the Cape Town metropolitan area or equivalent South African educational contexts. The teacher shall be required to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 07:30 to 16:30, with an additional two (2) hours allocated for lesson planning, parent consultations, and inter-disciplinary team meetings.

  • Delivery and Commencement: The Special Education Teacher must be inducted and commencing duties no later than 01 September 2025 at the Cape Town Integrated Special Education Centre premises. Failure to meet this date shall result in a penalty of 1.5% of the total Purchase Order value per calendar day of delay.
  • Payment Schedule: Payment shall be made in monthly instalments via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the supplier's designated South African bank account. The first payment shall be due within thirty (30) calendar days of the invoice date, in accordance with the Net 30 payment terms specified in this Purchase Order.
  • Compliance with South African Legislation: The supplier and the appointed Special Education Teacher shall comply with all applicable South African legislation, including the South African Schools Act (Act 84 of 1996), the Employment of Educators Act (Act 76 of 1998), the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (Act 75 of 1997), the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act (Act 4 of 2000), and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) registration requirements.
  • Confidentiality: All learner records, individualised education plans (IEPs), and institutional data pertaining to the Special Education Teacher's duties in Cape Town shall be treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA, Act 4 of 2013) of South Africa.
  • Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the supplier shall ensure a structured handover of all Special Education Teacher responsibilities, learner files, and in-progress educational programmes.
  • Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising herefrom shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cape Town, Western Cape.
  • Warranty: The supplier warrants that the Special Education Teacher shall be fully qualified, SACE-registered, and fit to perform the duties described herein. Any misrepresentation of qualifications shall constitute grounds for immediate termination without penalty to the issuing institution.
