Description of ServicesThis Purchase Order is issued by Meridian Analytics Group S.A. to engage the services of a qualified Statistician for the execution of advanced data analysis, predictive modeling, and statistical reporting tasks. The engagement is to be performed primarily in Brazil, Rio de Janeiro, where the Statistician will collaborate with our internal data science team to deliver actionable insights for our client portfolio in the healthcare and financial sectors.
The Statistician shall be responsible for designing and implementing statistical methodologies, conducting hypothesis testing, building regression models, performing Bayesian inference analyses, and producing comprehensive technical reports. All deliverables must adhere to the quality standards established by Meridian Analytics Group and comply with applicable Brazilian data protection regulations, including the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).

- This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between Meridian Analytics Group S.A. and the named Statistician upon signature by both parties. All terms herein shall be governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, with jurisdiction in the courts of Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
- The Statistician shall perform all duties with professional diligence, maintaining the highest standards of statistical integrity and ethical conduct. Any conflict of interest must be disclosed in writing prior to commencement of work.
- All work product, including but not limited to models, code, reports, and analyses produced under this Purchase Order, shall be the exclusive intellectual property of Meridian Analytics Group S.A. The Statistician retains the right to reference the engagement in professional portfolios with prior written consent.
- Payment shall be made via bank transfer (TED/PIX) to the account designated by the Statistician. Invoices must be submitted by the 5th business day of each month for services rendered in the preceding month. Late payments shall accrue interest at the rate of 1% per month as stipulated by Brazilian commercial law.
- The Statistician is engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Meridian Analytics Group S.A. The Statistician is solely responsible for all applicable taxes, social security contributions (INSS), and professional registration fees in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with 30 days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Statistician shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination, and all work in progress shall be delivered in a usable state.
- The Statistician shall comply with all data security protocols established by Meridian Analytics Group, including secure handling of client data in accordance with LGPD regulations applicable in Brazil. All data processed in Rio de Janeiro must be stored on servers located within Brazilian territory unless otherwise authorized in writing.
- Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall first be subject to mediation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, before proceeding to judicial or arbitral resolution.
- This Purchase Order may be amended only by mutual written agreement of both parties. No verbal modifications shall be considered valid.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Statistician in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
