This Purchase Order is issued by Atlantic Data & Analytics Solutions (Pty) Ltd for the engagement of a qualified Statistician to provide comprehensive statistical analysis, data modelling, and research methodology services. The Statistician shall perform all duties and deliverables within the geographic jurisdiction of South Africa Cape Town, specifically at the buyer's premises located on Bree Street, Cape Town Central, and at such other locations within the Cape Town metropolitan area as may be reasonably required by the project scope.
The Statistician engaged under this Purchase Order must hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline, and must be a registered member in good standing of the South African Statistical Society. The Statistician shall be responsible for designing sampling frameworks, conducting hypothesis testing, building predictive models, performing regression analyses, and producing peer-review-quality statistical reports for the buyer's ongoing market research and clinical trial data projects.

The Statistician shall commence services on 1 July 2025 and shall complete all deliverables no later than 30 September 2025. All work shall be performed primarily at the buyer's office in Cape Town, South Africa, with the Statistician expected to be physically present at the Bree Street premises a minimum of four (4) days per week. Remote work from within the Cape Town metropolitan area is permissible for up to one (1) day per week, subject to prior written approval from the buyer's project manager.
- Payment shall be made in three (3) equal instalments: 33% upon commencement, 33% upon completion of the predictive modelling phase, and 34% upon final acceptance of the statistical report.
- All payments shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the Statistician's nominated bank account in South Africa within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt of a valid tax invoice.
- The Statistician must issue a VAT-compliant tax invoice in accordance with the South African Revenue Service (SARS) regulations for each payment milestone.
- Overdue payments shall attract interest at the rate of 10% per annum, calculated on a daily basis, in line with the South African National Credit Act.
- This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, with specific reference to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the National Credit Act 34 of 2005.
- The Statistician warrants that all statistical analyses, models, and reports delivered under this Purchase Order shall be conducted with professional diligence, in compliance with the South African Statistical Society's Code of Ethics, and shall be free from material errors.
- All intellectual property, data, and deliverables produced by the Statistician in the course of this engagement shall vest exclusively in the buyer upon full payment. The Statistician shall not reuse, publish, or disclose any proprietary data obtained in South Africa Cape Town without express written consent.
- The Statistician shall comply with all applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 4 of 2013, in the handling of any personal data encountered during the project.
- Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Statistician shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the date of termination, less any outstanding deliverables.
- Disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through mediation in Cape Town, South Africa, in accordance with the rules of the Cape Arbitration Foundation, before any litigation is commenced in the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division, Cape Town.
- The Statistician shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than R 5,000,000.00 for the duration of this Purchase Order and shall provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the Statistician in South Africa Cape Town. This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the parties upon execution.
