  1. Governing Jurisdiction: This Purchase Order is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia Brisbane, and the Commonwealth of Australia. All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved under the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) or the Supreme Court of Queensland, Brisbane.
  2. Teacher Secondary Qualifications: The engaged Teacher Secondary must hold a valid Queensland Teacher Registration, a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent qualification, and a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Queensland Police Service. Failure to maintain these credentials shall constitute grounds for immediate termination of this Purchase Order.
  3. Payment Terms: Payment for services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be made via direct deposit to the Teacher Secondary's nominated bank account within fourteen (14) business days of the end of each calendar month. All amounts are stated in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the current rate of 10%.
  4. Commencement and Location: The Teacher Secondary shall commence duties on 1 July 2025 at the Brisbane Metropolitan Secondary Campus, 120 Creek Street, Brisbane, Queensland 4000, Australia. The Teacher Secondary is expected to be on-site for a minimum of 38 hours per week during the academic term, in accordance with the Australia Brisbane public school calendar.
  5. Confidentiality: The Teacher Secondary shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all student records, assessment data, and institutional information in compliance with the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This obligation survives the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
  6. Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of four (4) weeks during the academic term or two (2) weeks during school holidays. Termination for cause (including but not limited to misconduct, failure to meet Teacher Secondary professional standards, or breach of the Code of Conduct for Queensland Teachers) may be effected immediately upon written notice.
  7. Insurance and Indemnity: The Teacher Secondary shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of AUD $5,000,000 throughout the duration of this Purchase Order. The Teacher Secondary shall indemnify the Brisbane Metropolitan Secondary Education Authority against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from the Teacher Secondary's negligence or wilful misconduct while performing duties in Australia Brisbane.
  8. Intellectual Property: All curriculum materials, assessment instruments, and educational resources developed by the Teacher Secondary specifically for this engagement shall become the property of the Brisbane Metropolitan Secondary Education Authority upon completion of the Purchase Order term.
  9. Anti-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity: The Teacher Secondary shall comply with all provisions of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) and the Australian Human Rights Commission guidelines, ensuring an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students in the Australia Brisbane school community.
  10. Amendments: No amendment, variation, or modification to this Purchase Order shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by both the authorised representative of the Buyer and the Teacher Secondary.
