1. Purpose of This Purchase OrderThis Purchase Order is issued by the Université de Paris, located in France Paris, to formally engage the services of a qualified University Lecturer for the academic year 2025–2026. The University Lecturer shall deliver instructional, research, and supervisory services in accordance with the French national higher education framework (Code de l'Éducation) and the internal regulations of the institution. This document constitutes a binding procurement instrument under French public procurement law (Code de la commande publique) and governs all terms of the University Lecturer engagement within the France Paris metropolitan academic district.
2. Scope of Services — University Lecturer ResponsibilitiesThe University Lecturer engaged under this Purchase Order shall perform the following duties at the France Paris campus facilities:
- Deliver a minimum of 240 hours of face-to-face instruction per academic year across the departments of Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences.
- Supervise a cohort of no fewer than twelve (12) doctoral research candidates, providing weekly one-on-one academic guidance sessions.
- Develop and maintain course curricula, examination papers, and assessment rubrics in compliance with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) as adopted in France Paris institutions.
- Participate in at least two (2) peer-reviewed research publications per year in internationally recognised journals.
- Attend and present at a minimum of three (3) academic conferences held within France Paris or the broader Île-de-France region during the contract period.
- Provide administrative support to the Faculty of Sciences, including examination invigilation, curriculum committee membership, and student advisory services.

4. Terms and Conditions- Governing Law: This Purchase Order shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, specifically the Code de la commande publique and the Code de l'Éducation. Any disputes arising from this University Lecturer engagement shall be submitted to the competent administrative courts of France Paris (Tribunal administratif de Paris).
- Payment Terms: The Université de Paris shall remit payment to the University Lecturer on a monthly basis, no later than the fifteenth (15th) business day following the end of each calendar month. Payment shall be made via bank transfer to the account designated by the University Lecturer in France Paris. Late payments shall accrue interest at the statutory rate defined by Article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code.
- Commencement and Duration: The University Lecturer engagement shall commence on 1 October 2025 and shall continue for a period of twelve (12) months, subject to annual review by the Faculty Board of the Université de Paris in France Paris. This Purchase Order may be renewed for successive one-year periods upon mutual written agreement.
- Working Location: All services under this Purchase Order shall be performed primarily at the Université de Paris facilities located in France Paris (75005). The University Lecturer is required to be present on campus for a minimum of four (4) days per week, with the remaining time allocated to research and administrative duties, which may be conducted remotely in accordance with institutional telework policies.
- Intellectual Property: All research outputs, course materials, and pedagogical resources created by the University Lecturer in the course of duties under this Purchase Order shall be jointly owned by the University Lecturer and the Université de Paris, in accordance with French intellectual property law (Code de la propriété intellectuelle).
- Confidentiality: The University Lecturer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records, unpublished research data, and internal university deliberations. This obligation shall survive the termination of this Purchase Order for a period of five (5) years.
- Termination: Either party may terminate this Purchase Order with a written notice of three (3) months, to be delivered by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the France Paris address of the other party. In cases of gross professional misconduct, termination may be effected immediately in accordance with French labour and public service regulations.
- Compliance: The University Lecturer warrants that they hold a valid agrégation or doctorate in the relevant discipline and that they are in full compliance with all French academic accreditation requirements. The University Lecturer shall maintain professional liability insurance throughout the duration of this Purchase Order.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations under this Purchase Order due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government-mandated closures of academic institutions in France Paris.
This Purchase Order is authorised and executed by the undersigned representatives of the Université de Paris, France Paris, and is hereby accepted by the University Lecturer named herein.
