2. Purchase Order Description

This Purchase Order is issued by the University of Casablanca, Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, to formally engage the services of a qualified University Lecturer for the academic year 2025–2026. This document governs the contractual relationship, compensation structure, and professional obligations between the institution and the appointed lecturer. The engagement is conducted in full compliance with the Moroccan Higher Education Law (Law No. 01-00) and the applicable labor regulations of the Kingdom of Morocco, specifically as they apply within the city of Morocco Casablanca and its metropolitan area.

The University Lecturer shall be responsible for delivering undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Applied Mathematics, supervising student research projects, contributing to curriculum development, and participating in the academic governance of the Faculty. All teaching activities shall take place at the main campus located in Casablanca, Morocco, unless otherwise authorized in writing by the Dean of the Faculty.

All amounts are stated in Moroccan Dirhams (MAD) and are subject to the applicable withholding tax (IR) as mandated by the Moroccan General Tax Code. The net amount payable to the University Lecturer shall be calculated after statutory deductions, including social security contributions (CNSS) and income tax, in accordance with the regulations enforced in Morocco Casablanca.

4. Payment Terms

Payment for the services rendered under this Purchase Order shall be made on a monthly basis via bank transfer to the designated account of the University Lecturer. Invoices must be submitted to the Accounts Payable Department of the University of Casablanca no later than the 5th business day of each month. Payment shall be processed within 30 calendar days of invoice receipt, in compliance with the public procurement and payment regulations of the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Artistic Training.

The final settlement for the academic year shall be completed no later than 30 June 2026, subject to satisfactory completion of all contractual obligations.

5. Terms and Conditions

  1. Scope of Work: The University Lecturer shall deliver a minimum of 12 contact hours per week across the assigned courses, attend all scheduled examinations, and maintain office hours for student consultations at the Casablanca campus.
  2. Compliance with Moroccan Law: This engagement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco. Any disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the competent courts of Casablanca, Morocco, or through mediation as provided under Moroccan labor and civil law.
  3. Confidentiality: The University Lecturer agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student records, unpublished research, and internal university documents in accordance with the Moroccan Data Protection Law (Law No. 09-08).
  4. Intellectual Property: All course materials, syllabi, and teaching resources developed specifically for the University of Casablanca under this Purchase Order shall remain the property of the institution. The lecturer retains rights to pre-existing intellectual property.
  5. Termination: Either party may terminate this agreement with a written notice of 60 days. In the event of termination, the University Lecturer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
  6. Performance Standards: The University Lecturer shall maintain a minimum student satisfaction rating of 75% as assessed through the university's annual evaluation process. Failure to meet this standard for two consecutive semesters may result in non-renewal of this Purchase Order.
  7. Working Location: All duties shall be performed at the University of Casablanca campus or at approved off-site locations within the Casablanca-Settat region of Morocco. Remote work arrangements require prior written approval from the Faculty Dean.
  8. Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-mandated closures, or public health emergencies affecting the Casablanca metropolitan area.
Note: This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the University of Casablanca and the appointed University Lecturer. It is issued in accordance with the internal procurement policies of the institution and the regulatory framework of the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education. All communications regarding this order shall be directed to the Procurement Office at the Casablanca campus, Morocco.
