This Purchase Order is issued by the Federal University of Technology, Abuja, located in Nigeria Abuja, for the procurement of academic and instructional services rendered by a qualified University Lecturer. All amounts are stated in Nigerian Naira (NGN). The University Lecturer shall be compensated in accordance with the Federal University of Technology, Abuja, Staff Remuneration Policy and the National Universities Commission (NUC) guidelines applicable in Nigeria Abuja.
3. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
3.1 This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the Federal University of Technology, Abuja, and the University Lecturer named herein. Both parties acknowledge that this Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the regulations of the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria Abuja.
3.2 The University Lecturer shall deliver all academic services with the highest standard of professionalism, adhering to the approved course outlines, lecture schedules, and academic calendars as published by the University Senate of the Federal University of Technology, Abuja.
3.3 Payment shall be made in two (2) equal instalments: the first instalment of NGN 4,834,812.50 shall be disbursed within fourteen (14) working days of the commencement of the semester, and the second instalment of NGN 4,834,812.50 shall be disbursed within fourteen (14) working days of the conclusion of the semester, subject to satisfactory completion of all duties outlined in this Purchase Order.
3.4 The University Lecturer is required to submit weekly attendance records, lecture delivery reports, and student assessment records to the Head of Department, Department of Mechanical Engineering, no later than Friday of each academic week.
3.5 Any deviation from the approved lecture schedule must be communicated in writing to the Head of Department at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance. Unexcused absences exceeding three (3) sessions in any given semester shall constitute a material breach of this Purchase Order.
3.6 The University Lecturer shall maintain all academic materials, examination papers, and student records in strict confidence in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023, and the University's internal data protection policies.
3.7 This Purchase Order may be terminated by either party with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of termination, payment shall be made pro-rata for services rendered up to the date of termination.
3.8 All disputes arising from this Purchase Order shall be resolved through the University's internal grievance mechanism before escalation to the Federal High Court, Abuja, Nigeria Abuja, as the court of competent jurisdiction.
4. DELIVERY AND PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
The University Lecturer shall commence all duties on Monday, 1st September 2025, and shall continue through to the end of the First Semester, which is scheduled to conclude on 28th November 2025. All examination-related duties shall be completed by 15th December 2025. The University Lecturer is expected to be present at the Federal University of Technology, Abuja campus, Gwagwalada, Nigeria Abuja, during all scheduled teaching hours, which are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, West Africa Time (WAT).
5. AUTHORIZATION AND APPROVAL
This Purchase Order has been reviewed and authorized by the undersigned officers of the Federal University of Technology, Abuja, in accordance with the University's Procurement and Financial Regulations. The University Lecturer acknowledges receipt of this Purchase Order and agrees to all terms and conditions stated herein.
