3. Scope of Engagement – University Lecturer Appointment
This Purchase Order is issued by the University of Lagos, Nigeria Lagos, to formally engage Dr. Chinedu E. Nwankwo as a University Lecturer for the 2025/2026 academic session. The engagement covers the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervision of final-year project students, participation in faculty senate meetings, and contribution to the departmental research output as stipulated in the University of Lagos Academic Staff Regulations. The University Lecturer shall report to the Head of Department, Department of Educational Studies, and shall adhere to all institutional policies governing academic staff in Nigeria Lagos.

5. Terms and Conditions of this Purchase Order
5.1 This Purchase Order constitutes a binding agreement between the University of Lagos, Nigeria Lagos, and the appointed University Lecturer. Both parties shall comply with the terms set forth herein and with the applicable laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
5.2 The University Lecturer shall commence duties on or before 1st September 2025 and shall continue for the full 2025/2026 academic session unless terminated in accordance with University of Lagos Staff Regulations.
5.3 Payment shall be processed via bank transfer to the account specified in Section 2 within thirty (30) calendar days of the issuance of this Purchase Order and receipt of the signed acceptance form by the University Lecturer.
5.4 The University Lecturer shall be subject to the University of Lagos Code of Conduct, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) collective bargaining agreements, and all regulatory directives issued by the National Universities Commission (NUC) applicable to institutions in Nigeria Lagos.
5.5 Any modification to this Purchase Order must be made in writing and signed by both the Procurement Officer and the University Lecturer. Verbal amendments shall hold no legal validity.
5.6 The University Lecturer shall maintain a minimum of 18 contact hours per week for teaching, 6 hours for research, and 4 hours for administrative duties as per the standard workload for a University Lecturer in a Nigerian federal university.
5.7 This Purchase Order is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through the University of Lagos Internal Dispute Resolution Committee before escalation to the Federal High Court, Nigeria Lagos.
5.8 The University reserves the right to audit all financial records related to this Purchase Order at any reasonable time upon 72 hours' written notice.
NOTE: This Purchase Order has been reviewed and approved by the University of Lagos Procurement Committee in accordance with the Federal Government of Nigeria Public Procurement Act (2007) and the University of Lagos Financial Regulations. The engagement of this University Lecturer has been ratified by the University Senate at its 47th Ordinary Meeting held on 10th June 2025 in Nigeria Lagos.6. Acceptance and Signatures
