3. PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
  1. The total value of this Purchase Order is One Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Qatari Riyals (QAR 129,000.00), exclusive of applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the rate of 5% as mandated by the Qatar Tax Authority.
  2. Payment shall be made in four (4) equal monthly installments of QAR 32,250.00, due on the last working day of each month commencing September 2025 through December 2025.
  3. All payments shall be processed via bank transfer to the University Lecturer's designated account at a licensed commercial bank operating within Doha, Qatar. The institution shall not process any cash payments.
  4. The University Lecturer shall submit a valid tax invoice to the Procurement and Finance Department no later than the fifth (5th) business day of each month, referencing this Purchase Order number (PO-QD-2025-04782).
  5. Any late payment beyond the stipulated due date shall attract a penalty of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance, in accordance with Qatar's commercial transaction regulations.
  6. The University Lecturer is responsible for all personal income tax obligations as per the Qatar Tax Law (Law No. 35 of 2024). The institution shall withhold any applicable social security contributions as required by the Qatar Social Security Law.
4. OBLIGATIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY LECTURER
  1. The University Lecturer shall maintain a valid Qatar work permit and professional teaching license throughout the duration of this engagement in Doha, Qatar.
  2. All instructional materials, lecture notes, and assessment instruments prepared for the courses listed in Section 2 shall be submitted to the department head no later than one (1) week prior to the commencement of each semester.
  3. The University Lecturer shall adhere to the academic calendar published by Qatar University and shall be available for all scheduled office hours, examination periods, and academic committee meetings.
  4. Confidentiality of student records, examination papers, and institutional data is strictly required. The University Lecturer shall sign a separate Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the commencement of duties.
  5. The University Lecturer shall comply with all Qatar University policies, the Qatar National Vision 2030 educational guidelines, and the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar.
  6. Any absence exceeding three (3) consecutive working days must be reported in writing to the department head and the Office of Academic Affairs at least 48 hours in advance, with a qualified substitute arranged at the University Lecturer's own expense.
5. TERM, TERMINATION, AND GOVERNING LAW
  1. This Purchase Order shall be effective from 1 September 2025 and shall remain in force until 31 December 2025, covering the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, unless renewed by mutual written agreement.
  2. Either party may terminate this engagement with a written notice of thirty (30) days. In the event of termination by the institution without cause, the University Lecturer shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the effective date of termination.
  3. Immediate termination may be effected by the institution in cases of gross misconduct, breach of academic integrity, or violation of Qatar's labor and professional regulations.
  4. This Purchase Order and all related services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Qatar. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Doha, Qatar.
  5. This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the engagement of the University Lecturer for the specified services and supersedes all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
6. APPROVAL AND AUTHORIZATION

By signing below, both parties acknowledge and accept all terms, conditions, and obligations set forth in this Purchase Order for the engagement of the University Lecturer in Doha, Qatar. This document is executed in two (2) original copies, one retained by each party.
